Dks are still nice, not something you can get a high rating with, but you can at least win arenas.

Any double mage team will WRECK your team after AMS is over.
Any BM hunter + warrior team can kill your healer before you can effectively peel (both can get out of remorseless winter easily enough)
Any spriest/mage team can effectively control + burst down your healer
Any double healer team with a druid and any defensive cooldown giving class (mage, hunter etc) makes it effectively impossible to burst down the healer, and most dps is those cases will pop defensives that last as long as your silence chain.

It will be very very hard to win anything above 1800 IMO, to the point where i gave up on 5's until i can come up with a multi-class burst comp that i can control well.

Monks other than mistweavers are pretty crap though from my experience.

Ok so more experience with boxing monks in pvp. Their melee range seems fucked. I'm spamming my dps key and all I get is too far away. My DKs dont have this problem.

so monks are not even normal BG worthy ? As for arenas, range just wreck melee right now. Not just for boxing, even in solo, melees are not that good. Don't know about top tier, but mid tier skill level, Shadow priest/mage/hunter just own everything.

Not really. When people start talking about how OP their team or their character is at any "low level battleground" is normally when I stop reading. Anyone who has ever done PvE or PvP at the top level of any expansion should be able to tell you the following:

Burning Crusade:
In terms of balance, levels 1 - 69 meant nothing compared to 70.

Wrath of the Lich King:
In terms of balance, levels 1 - 79 meant nothing compared to 80.

Cataclysm:
In terms of balance, levels 1 - 84 meant nothing compared to 85.

Mists of Pandaria:
In terms of balance, levels 1 - 89 mean nothing compared to level 90.

That is the way it's been and that is the way it will always be.

I'll even expand on that further, 1-70 meant nothing compared to 70 fully geared, etc etc

yeah I can't figure out why they are so bad. I'm trying more testing when I get around to it. The AoE stun is pretty nice, but honestly it seems like the kiter is just out of range of it

So far most monks I see are healers. and they can run like no tomorrow. All DPS monks are kinda like blood DK. Really beefy in terms of defense, but getting kited a lot. And when they do get on the target. They don't seem to hurt.

Playing them as healer, for me, is the most fun healer to play. They can do ok damage, but they are healing anyone near them while doing it, and also have great healing when focused on healing. Obviously would be better in the larger BGs. Like some do with resto druids or shams.

Monks can heal without line of sight, can't they. So I can just hide behind a pillar while my slaves IWT on the target.

But if you get trained by a melee you will ultimately get kicked every heal. Since your main heal is channeled.
