I think what their saying is that regardless of what screen resolution you have in-game, when you start WoW with the maximizer and look at the video settings in-game it is at 800x600.

Yeah I understand that. I just dont know why when I switch to a alt char it looks all fugly, and when I switch back to the main everything looks fine.

    that doesn't make much sense.

    just to confirm:
    your main is 1280 x 720
    all your clones are 640 x 360

    correct?

Im having the same issue and dont really understand how to correct it. My main window runs at 1680,656 and my 4 pips run at 420,394

However when I take for instance the bottom left, to the top it appears to keep the native pip resolution of the smaller box and things look...off.

pyro, your aspect ratios are off.

aspect ratio is what determines where you get a circle or an oval.

to determine the aspect ratio of a region, do this simple math: w / h

    so.. a screen that is 640 x 480 would have a ratio of 1.3333

your goal would be to keep all the aspect ratios the same

Ok... Im an idiot... Im not sure hot to keep the ratios in tact, I was simply dividing the length by 4 and fitting them in, how would I go about dividing them and keeping the 1.33 or 1.6 ratio?

**begins messing around with algebra stuff**

NM figured it out divide divide divide =)

    @scottig
    try this... (screen res: 1280 x 720 )

    main: x,y( 0,0 ) w,h( 960,720 )
    cloneA: x,y( 960,0 ) w,h( 320,240 )
    cloneB: x,y( 960,240 ) w,h( 320,240 )
    cloneC: x,y( 960,480 ) w,h( 320,240 )

this should stack your clones down the right side. try it and see if their aspect ratio is better
