Have you done any experimentation with 1280x720 :P ?
actually, i just did. i went to 1280x720 mode... and defined a maximizer layout where i had 1 full screen @ 1280x720 and 2 underneath it that were 320x180. i set the maxfpsbk on all of the commands to 5.. no reason not to save the cpu/gpu... then did ran the 3 wows. they came up (it was weird not seeing them all at once) and i logged in (on faith).. then ENTER to get in game... then ctrl+F2 to swap.. looked fine. ctrl+F3.. looked good... ctrl+F1.. back to the beginning.

so.. if you goal is to run full screen with a pip swap to bring others to the front, 1280x720 on your main region (set it up last) and 320x180 on your others

let me know if that helps.

Must be something with my hardware then . Oh well I don't really switch to the alts unless I die. So I guess its motivation not to die 8) . Thanks again for all the help.

when you are working with your maximizer editor... did you UNCHECK the 'snap to grid' ?

if you don't, it will attempt to resize the regions to fit the grid

Ok my main screen (well really right now ONLY screen, LOL) is 1920x1200 (ratio 1.6 w/h).

When I raid and solo I want to use full screen.

When I multibox I want to use smaller overlapping windows.

The video settings in WoW show me a 1440x900 setting, which has the same ratio (1.6).

In keyclones maximizer I set up my main region to be lower left and 1440x900, two windows to be 40% width of the 1920 (768x480 = 1.6 ratio), then my final 2 windows to be smaller 576,360 = 1.6.

I've tried running the wow's separate and setting their resolution to be 1440x900 then shutting down and starting with keyclone but no matter what I do all but the main window start up while loading at 800x600, I can see the window outline while it's starting to load so I know it happens immediately. The Config.wtf for each wow also gets it's dimensions changed to 800x600.

If I switch to the old Maximizer the load window starts up at the correct 1440x900 (after having reset it in the Config.wtf file!) then my smaller windows shrink and the aspect is right on but I can't PIP switch.

I thought I was going to be clever and copied my Maximizer executable and the Maximizer config file into one of the wow folders and fed Maximizer into the startup command instead! It worked somewhat, the window during load looked like 1440x900 and it properly shrank and went to it's proper location but then PIP switch would not work.

Also, if I make option changes in keyclone it sometimes pops a window from one region to another completely different region that's not even loaded!

snap to grid is unchecked. Wonder why it works with 4:3 aspect ratio and not 16:9. I've tried everything ?( I wonder if bought a 22" widescreen with 1680x1050 res would it work?

I was having the same issue with the resolution getting reset to 800x600.. every time.. and thus making my clone windows look skewed, or as the term that is refered to as FAT.
I editied the config.wtf ( by inserting the resolution i wanted) file and made it read only . I did the same for the maximizer config file.

Boot it up with keyclone maximizier. Everything works like a charm, aspect ratio remains the same.

Same thing here... Resolution reversion to 800x600 was driving me crazy. Putting the resolution into the config.wtf by hand (1920x1200 for all instances) and write protecting the file solved it for me.

Weird... it seems some program (Wow or keyclone) writes a bogus resolution into the file when nobody's watching^^.

How do you write protect the Config.wtf file?

if the config.wtf is set to 800x600... that would be wow.

keyclone, when using maximizer, will adjust the resolution to the exact dimensions just before launching the clone (each clone can have different resolutions as they are launched 1 at a time)
