BUG: Char getting stuck in loot position

Guys, this bug has been driving me crazy. When I have a collection quest that requires me to pick up items from the ground, sometimes after I pick it up with 2-3 chars, the next one gets stuck in loot position and can't pick it up anymore. Relogging, leaving party, etc, nothing works. The only thing that fixes it is logging out for like 30 mins or so. Did anyone run into this?

I ran into it constantly. What seemed to work for me some of the time was running on the main toon and killing a mob, looting it normally, then going back to the object I needed to loot.

This a game-wide bug I noticed just today, not just Pandaria - happened in the BE starting zone.

PS: Getting stuck in loot position has been a intermittent bug since beta. I mean vanilla beta. I don't know the details of what causes it but it pops up occasionally and is exceptionally annoying.

When it happens to me its only noticeable on that toon, other toons see him standing as normal.

In addition to the above fix, you can do anything to zone out to fix it, such as hearth or enter a dungeon.

super annoying. and it appears way more often now. It is already bad where I have to loot the same thing for 100 times for boxing collections quests. Now I can't even LOOT. Dungeons for lvling all the way

Yea happened a lot for me. alt+f4, relaunch team in isboxer so just so the one client is launched. log back in... then a lot of times the next toon needing loot gets it.. rinse repeat.. pretty lame.

You can remedy this by opening a container (e.g. lockbox) in your inventory. Just make sure not to autoloot it, in case you are doing some heavy looting and getting stuck all the time - like I did back in early cata while skinning. Opening a [Strange Bloated Stomach] seemed to get rid of it, so I began keeping one in my inventory at all times.

edit: oh wait, we're talking about getting stuck looting objects on ground. I think I've had that once, too, and relogging didn't work either that time. Not sure if my trick above works (and I'm unable to try it at the moment), but give it a go if you get the chance :p
