Sorry I meant Selfless Healer. I'm finding that Battle Healer and Sacred Shield are not good enough to keep 4 rets alive in a dungeon. My tank lives just fine, but there is just too much AoE to keep them up. I'm going to either switch one to holy or add a monk healer (which I love).

It's not really worth using Battle Healer in PvE. Truth is a huge portion of your damage. The extra healing will be offset by the fact that it will take you 25%+ longer to kill everything.

I'd bet using Truth on 3 Rets and your tank would equal more DPS than 4 Rets and a tank using Insight. More so if you find yourself using holy power on WoG's without a dedicated healer.

BH seems to be the only way to keep my team alive at 45ish lol..they feel a lot weaker than the last time i leveled a team of palies..last expansion ( at this level ) im running tank..holy and 3 rets atm ( RaF with BoA gear ) The tank is doing twice the DPS with any seal up lol

The best wat to level paladins is to got all Prot and one holy. The DPs is better and you never die. Once you get to level 70, this changes and you should go back to ret.

I use BH in level 90 heroics for some bosses with AOE stuff. I found it useful. Selfless healer is not that great. I can't watch for the proc and stop DPS to heal brings more damage intake. in PVP, selfless healer takes way too long to build up. BM hunter would've killed me twice already by the time I can instant flash of light. So I just stick with sacred shield for now.

Sacred shield should always be up. It lasts for 30 seconds and if you have even a single item of haste, it will last for even longer like 35 seconds. That's how long it's lasting on my Prot paladin. I imagine this will get hotfixed because the refresh gets shorter to so it's double dipping on haste. Using IS and a top down priority macro at level 90, You still run into spots when every attack ability is on cooldown so I keep SS on the bottom of the list and it has a good 80-90% uptime. Prior to the level 90 spell, it had a 100% uptime with no impact on dps.

Battle healer is pretty damn neat. Seal of insight heals you and battle healer is like insight for everyone else. It heals like mad and when you combine it with Vengeance as prot it gets really retarded. Sacred Shield also scales with vengeance and starts absorbing 25k every 5 seconds or more.

Loosing seal of Truth does hurt some dps, but Truth isn't 25% of your dps. And if it takes a bit longer to kill something just remember. If it dies, you're doing it right.

You might also want to round robin up your Hand of Protection, Devotion Aura, and Lay on Hands. An unused cool down is a wasted cool down.

I also took Holy Prism over execution sentence. To me, having 25,000 damage and 16,000 heal every 20 seconds was better than 51,000 damage once a minute.

You can recast Sacred Shield, every 6 seconds.
    It lasts for 30...

The limit is more on how quickly you can move it from one recipient to another, than on ever having it run out.

So i got to 70 and switched some back to ret.. they still suck compared to prot though. my 70 prot spec is doing 1500 dps and the rets only do 8-900ish. Only thing that changed at 70 was seal of justice. Was that why you thought it got better?

Will four Prot spec each do 1500dps, or is that dependent on being hit?

    Which is better?:
    1x Holy & 4x Prot
    1x Holy & 1x Prot & 3x Ret

Nah, my memory is fuzzy, plus I leveled my 5x paladins a few months before MoP hit so things could have changed.
