So I was on my 4 rets and I was noticing that the 30% healing from the glyph (30% of damage) isn't happening. Does it only proc for spells like Templars verdict? Also is selfless healer any good for PvE vs Sacred Shield?

The battle healer glyph requires your paladin to be using Seal of Insight.
The heal will never go to the paladin that triggers it; as in, if your team only had the one paladin, it would never get healed by the glyph.
But if you had four paladins on the team, each could be healed by the other three.
As far as I know, just dealing damage will passively cause the heals.

Like Ualaa says, you need the Insight Seal active and then all your melee attacks including autoattacks will give a heal of 30% of your damage to damaged party members.

Glyph: Using melee attacks while using Seal of Insight heals a nearby injured friendly target, excluding the Paladin, within 30 yards for 30% of damage dealt.

Ah ok I see. Does anyone have any observations on battle healer vs Sacred Shield? Trying to figure out whats best for a 4 ret 1 prot war group.
Battle Healer or Selfless Healer? Personalty, I'm a fan of Sacred Shield, only because I like to be as hands off as possible and I can simply macro SS into my priority without consequence. Selfless Healer was just a total whore when I tried to macro it because FoL has a cast time, which means it was resetting my swing timer anytime it tried to cast without the full stack. It also wasn't canceling the cast reliably if it wasn't instant, which was killing my mana.
Of course, if you don't mind managing your heals then you might have better luck with SH. But if you're looking for more passive stuff, I'd highly recommend SS and then look to 90 for a slew of Holy Prisms to keep you up.
And finally, here's your grain of salt since I run with a lot of passive healing and a full time healer, so I might not have a frickin' clue![]()

I'd vote Sacred Shield too.
Alt + Right click, on any grid frame.
That target has 5x Sacred Shield on them, which stack.
Instant cast, decent absorb.
Six second re-use, so cannot instantly switch if they switch targets on you.
But still, you can reapply it fairly quickly.
It doesn't cost any resources, no mana nor holy power.
Just has the cooldown.

Selfless Healer provides significantly more healing than Sacred Shield if you have multiple Rets.
you dont have to choose between sacred shield and battle healer. one is a talent and one is a glyph. they are both amazing. take them.
