Kaon was one of the easier HM's. Honestly, the hardest thing about the instance was gun (I just parked my sages behind the gun in a position where they didn't get knocked back and healed my tank) and the crazy pulls. I wasn't able to get the bonus mob down, the adds were extremely hard to target. The last boss was super easy.
I am working on Lost Island. I got the Big bug down to 15%. I'll get him with a little more gear on my dps. The trick to it is to get the everyone off circles that he drops ASAP. Also he hits like a truck.
