Stutter with my new SSD?
Hi All,
Performance on my new M4 SSD is really stuttery compared to my 7200 rpm HDD and I've had to revert to the HDD to play on the 5 accounts, which runs smoother. I don't even know where to start on troubleshooting so was hoping for some help/advice from the community on where I've gone wrong on this one. To give an idea of performance, 1st screen is fine. 2nd screen (which shares cores) tends to stutter for up to 1 or 2 seconds, which means it breaks follow all the time. The only other thing it could be is the background downloader is being unhelpful so advice on turning this off would also be welcome.
Current specs:
Gigabyte Z68AP-D3
I7 2600k not overclocked
16gig RAM
GTX 560TI 1.25gig
Wired network @ 17Meg per second from speedtest
1 monitor running 1360 by 768
Windows 7 home premium 64bit
ISBoxer
5 boxing all on low settings, round robin balancing. Lead has high view distance.
Power settings in windows set to max.
Bought M4 SSD 6 months ago and only started using last month. Put the entire WoW folder onto it.
To be honest I expected much better performance from this system than I'm getting. At least I can easily run 5 WoWs but there is a bottleneck somewhere...
Cheers.

This thread actually provided me the answer. Nothing wrong with SSD, upgraded software and check with crystaldiskinfo.
