Farming spots for cloth/leather/motes?

Windwool Cloth is like 50s each on my server, and there's like 6k auctions of it. We got lots of farmers around, or did Blizz f*** up the droprate?

Btw, have you noticed that if you're on a quest and kill quest mobs, they spawn much faster than without the quest? Or if there are people around with the quest and the mobs are under heavy farming, so they have to spawn instantly to make questers happy? Later if you are there alone without the quest, the mobs won't spawn instantly because "they don't have to"

If ANYONE is on the quest in the area they respawn faster.

Also @ mosg's spot. 40 motes in 20 mins (small sample size) and got me my 8% rested exp from the exp.

I was just there for an hour, solo on my dk, probably killed a few hundred turtles, and got 5 motes. was plenty of turtles due to questers, was no downtime and I typically was pulling 5-6 at a time.
get the quest, and don't turn it in and farm with a team and its probably alot more turtles.

Either they believe killing the spawns over and over is considered an exploit or someone reported me and they didn't research it properly.

Thats BS bro. so sorry to hear that. I mean they made these mote so rare, and you need them for a lot of stuff! They don't expect us to farm like this?

Well I was doing it for leveling purposes. The motes were nice, but wanted to get to 88 to bypass the worst collection zones. And also to possibly do the Prince rep farming that was mentioned.

Update to my above post. Spoke to account support who is escalating to the GMs. They said that there is some checks behind the scenes for activity that resembles powerleveling services. Because of the quickness of the kills for a long period of time, it resembled a bot. The guy I spoke to actually had multiboxed before with 5 accounts with ISBoxer. He understood the reason for farming kills versus collection quests. He looked at the logs and confirmed that all 5 accounts were logged in at the same time and I even gave him my current IP and he said it matched what was in the logs and it is from comcast. So I said that proves it wasn't some chinese farmer. He said he will get more info about the speed kills to see if we should back off on it due to these backened checks. In the meantime, he said he will send my account with not on it up the chain and also asked me to submit an appeal through the web ticket system. I better get these unbanned because I didn't do anything wrong.


And I just realized why this may have occurred. Even the account rep called this a new check. Fs and Athene world firsts. I bet they thought my Paladin was tagging outside of the group, which it was not. Everyone was in the same group getting the same XP and they should have reviewed the logs to see that.

Hopefully i didn't get the ban hammer... then again i was only there for about 10% exp and around an hour total.

Well, maybe this hints that they're finally going to get around to a massive banwave on all those bots out there. I swear there's twice as many bots on my server as there are horde. But I suppose that's not saying much, lol.

The HB bots are hard to detect since they are just gathering or using quest profiles. What were were doing was killing mobs almost every second for a long period of time. I was able to get my account bans overturned. Mosg2, I think everything will be fine as well, it just sucks having it happen and to wait. I know this is sort of hijacking the thread, but this happened because we were attempting stuff mentioned in this thread. Here is my communication with Blizzard. Seems they are using some type of automatic ban if the system detects suspicious activity. They recommended not doing what I was doing before or I'll have to go through the same process of review again. What irks me is, this isn't suspicious activity at all. Because we box, we can drop things so fast, so it appears like a damage hack. They are the one spawning the mobs, not some hack tool on our end.

Thank you so much xxxx!! That was quick and I appreciate the help. I do have one question and that is, can I continue doing what I was doing? Just killing the mobs over and over in the MoP areas? If so, will the system know not to flag me or will future GMs know not to place a ban on the accounts again?
