    But what about DRUIDS?!
I made the decision to bring up my druid with my shamans since I'd likely play that class solo (I'm burnt on DK and I don't like paladin solo PVP). I had a DK, Warrior, and Paladin at 85 ready to go. I'm not That committed yet (only 87 on the druid), but if paladins are stupid easy or warriors are way better utility, I'd probably switch it out.

We are mainly playing the tank for boxing when I think about it. All these slaves are just addons. So fun factor > all when it comes to the tank. While druids can be strong, it is also a little boring. Only got like 1 skill to use ? I'd say probably warrior more fun. More feedback for the action you initiated, reflect, aoe stun, knockback etc.

I'd rather boring than fun when it comes to boxing with a tank, I gotta micromanage 4 other toons to get good dps and deal with movement, etc. in boss fights.

I have my druid too, and I switched my paladin for the druid to try the druid out in instances, since I knew how the paladin performed. My druid has almost equal gear, but the damage he took was a lot higher, and his DPS wasn't nearly as good. Overall, I agree with you, and any tank which is boring and mindless is a good tank, since the fun factor in MoP seems to be the encounter itself, and when I am working on healing my toons up while avoiding the damage on the ground, mechanics etc, I want to know that my buttons will do their best to keep my tank alive through all of it. Also, some fights require a lot of dispelling, which requires some healer-POV driving, which makes clicking stuff on your tank difficult.

All tanks are roughly equal when it comes to survivability and CD's, particularly in light of the fact that MOP heroics are laughably easy (easier than Wrath heroics, even). So (IMO), you only have two concerns when choosing a tank.

First, which tank has superior utility in 5man content? No contest. Warrior.

Second, which tank has the best off-spec options for the other stuff you want to box? Again, no contest. Druid. Only tank with a ranged DPS spec for 5boxing raids. And I wanted a mobile healer for my PvP Rets. Having one main that compliments both groups perfectly (and also happens to make a great booster) saves me a lot of time/effort gearing another character.

When you look at it in terms of utility, I don't think there's much contest. The only question is whether you plan on doing non-5man stuff with your team.

I changed my perceptions a bit after repeatedly getting pwned by the brewfest dwaf boss, lol. He just hits too hard. DK, while regain hp fast, cannot deal with spike damage. I was dying left and right. So a good metric for tank for me is , whichever tank can handle him at ilvl 410ish IS THE BEST tank.
I totally agree with this entire comment. It's to late now (wait for next year???) but I have all 4 tanks (but three are at 85) and I'd love to compare a Paladin to DK on that boss. It's just a bit to burst-y for my DK, though I can kill him now fairly regularly. Though the reason I chose DK is the damage makes him almost a 4th dps'er in my groups, though admittedly post 5.0x my Paladin was doing good dps as well in Prot, I just like the aggro tools of a DK more.

Different relative gear levels will likely make a difference too.

The gear you have at 5.0, 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3, vs a given boss (even from the same point of an expansion... ie. 5.0 gear vs 5.0 boss and 5.3 gear vs 5.3 boss) could change the relative order of best boxed tank.
I don't see the "ease" of boxing a given tank, to change that much over an expansion.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.
