IRC Chat nor working

Hey guys I was wondering why is the website IRC chat not working with Java, Also is there any point in joining the chat, is it active or dead?

Chat activity depends. It's usually pretty dead in the middle of the night, but even then there's still people who'll probably respond eventually if you feel like starting a conversation.
