Tempest Keep post 5.0

Went in to TK with another 5boxer and a solo player (11 toons total) and after 4 attempts we finally gave up. When he done his mind control (a lot earlier than before) he would mind control the entire raid. has anyone else ran into this? he would despawn and reset a few seconds later.

I used to do him fine pre patch on my 4 shaman. Now the same thing happens in the mind control phase as you said. The only way I could do it now was to get a tank in to hold him line of sight away from my shaman. I have only ever kited him out of his room and killed the advisers near alars room in the hallway.

ya this been going on for a bit off time it seems to be a luck thing i find if he does this i try again if he does it again then i reset it and or try again in a few hours next day. its even worse when he mc's a healer and tops puts him back to 100%

I was doing this place every week until mount dropped so have not done it in a few weeks but on my pally 4 shaman it has been rather easy, but on the od occasion i have wiped due to MC. It just all seems to be on luck.
What i do is on advisers put the staff on one of the shamans for the ability (helps a bit) nuke them down but just before the last one is dead i pop all elementals (can only use one ele pet in 5.0.4) then blow cds and nuke him fast, once he flies up then your pretty much done.

A little harder when it comes to using my priest and dks, but i do the same thing but pop army of dead and raise undead right as i kill advisors then nuke him down fast. Again all based on luck. If one gets MC then its usually still ok.

The main trouble I have now since the patch with shaman is the elementals dont stay with the totems and instead now follow the shaman.

killed him two days ago with a 81 warlock and my 4 shamys, tank him with your main and hide your toons behind the pillar so they are out of his los (pull him behind the pillar), after he says "Obey me" or whatever he says when he attempts to mind control then come out and nuke him down. He cant mindcontrol the tank and targets out of his los.

It was almost a challange ~~

Here's a really easy solution to the mind control. Right before you start p4, go run one character behind his statues in the room. This will line of sight that character and it won't get mind controled. Preferably something that can heal/tank the damage from kael and the rest of your team. When he hits the transition to P5, I like to run everyone but one character behind the statues, this way a freak mind control doesn't take you out.

after like 8 attempts this week, I had to kill 3 of my guys that were mc'd. I finally got him. But ya, I am experiencing the same thing. Also, I was not running a tank, but my hpally would get all the agro. Most of the times, my hpally would get mc'd, my team would kill the pally, then Kael would reset.
