This has been a life savior, I have been looking exactly for this so I can loot it on my JC slave for gem research.

There is a tillers quest, where you kill the goats on the mountain. yesterday the goats dropped me 4 motes in half hour. I wasnt really farming for the motes but noticed everywhere else in the Valley has nbeen nerfed, i will try again when the quest isnt causing a high influx of people there.

There is a quest, alliance side only I believe, called http://www.wowhead.com/quest=29905 Let Them Burn. You will be accompanied by five NPCs (fish people). Run up the incline outside the town, and tag and kill. The monkeys come in three to five. I have five warlocks, all with tailoring, and Harvest Life, with my pets, I tag and use Harvest Life....Rinse and repeat, you get cloth, green, and motes of harmony. Pretty good drop rate as the mobs keep coming. My purpose is to farm the cloths...the motes are just a bonus...quite a few....one hour there, I got 10+ spirit of harmony....BUT the xp from mob is low, with rested status, I get 800-900 xp per kill.

IF you do not turn this quest in, you can keep doing this, but the downside is that you are locked out to the major quests afterward....I cannot get myself into the quest that farm the WATER FIEND, for example...I am locked out until I turn this quest in....sad!
