Default new mb and vid card

so a few months ago i tried building a new system.
the motherboard and case came damaged.
i got a refund from newegg on both items.
i kept my i7 sandy bridge an the 16 gigs of ram.
i used the refund money to do some vehicle reapirs.

anyway im now looking at two items i think will work well for me.

the video card is this one here

the motherboard is this one here

i currently run a 5 box team and see some shutter and frps drop in sw and instances.
the current card im running now is the ati hd 6950 toxic edition.
i do like ati cards but i want to try something different i think.
im thinking about making the switch to nvidia once again.
would this 4 gig card be worth a shot?
both items are going to cost me 850$

does anyone run the ati 3 gig cards?
and if so how are they?

any suggestions would be very helpful

Yes before I could 5-box easily but when I opened up 10 windows things got iffy. This does 10 windows just fine.

My previous was a GTX 465 1 GB so it was a bit of an upgrade.

Just got my new rig setup today and did some 5-boxing in the middle of Ogrimmar during prime time on a high pop server and it's smooth as butter. Thumbs up for the HD 7950 from me so far.
