Not every game is as tolerant of multiboxing as WoW. Have you researched WAR's policy on this matter?

The way I see it, multiboxing gives the person a tremendous advantage in PVP when focusing DPS with ranged classes. WAR being an extremely PVP heavy game, I can see the designers being a bit allergic to multiboxing.

And honestly, I can't see them bringing WAR's spec too far out of reach of bargain/student gamers. For such an expensively produced game with the ambition of being a WoW killer, they'd be killing a big chunk of their own potential market share.

I've asked, expecting answer before the end of the month.

They just added a lighting engine to WAR (yes, everything that we have seen but the menu screen orc video has been fully lit!) and dog knows what the performance is like now, but right now if you can run World of Warcraft, you can run WAR.

(Going by things mentioned in interviews and Q&As)

It doesn't matter really. SLI is broken anyway driver side. The option never even appears, which is quite funny (?) due to the amount I paid for these things.

Nvidia needs to get their driver mess straightened out.

I 4 boxed PvP/PvE in DAoC which is from the same folks that are making WAR. Definitely not easy, but unless they changed policies big time it's allowed. Hell, 1/2 of the people in the game ran buff bots.

I'll also chime in on DAoC. I multi-boxed 8 characters there (parties were 8 people). I was appealed hundreds of times, and only once talked to a CSR (GM). Basically they are only concerned about automated (unattended) characters.

Of course... Mythic was bought be EA a year ago. So they might use EA's policies. But then again, EA gave Mythic Ultima Online to run, so maybe Mythic is in charge of the MMORPGs.

Mythic/EA doesn't mind multiboxing in DaoC, only the players do (like partyfuls of rangers just after the ranger remake patch showed up earlier this year), so I think we have nothing but the long learning process of a new game with new gameplay to worry about.

On the other hand, one of their podcasts very clearly stated:
    "There will be no buffbots"
Of course, as it then went on to explain that that'll be because you can only buff your group it's entirely possible that multiboxing will still be possible, but the info coming from gamesdays isn't looking good: No one has found a /follow, /stick, or /face command so far.

Unless they make it as easy as WoW I doubt I'll do it anyway. I mean, no buffbotting, not very effective healbotting (compared to a singleboxing healer who'd heal just as well and do some decent dmg/CC), so without a macro-system to allow for easy targeting (cba to constantly choose main as my target, assist, THEN start attacking) it might just not be worth it.
I mean, with players not being able to walk through eachother (which is nice) you can rule out double melee and an alt might even get in the way. Might also get in the way of your enemy, of course..

I knew a guy who would 4-8 box ML9 using macros in an automated fashion on Lance I still don't understand how he did it for so long and never got caught, but I heard later that he made a ton of money selling plats from it.
