8 Boxing?

8 shaman....8 mages....8 blood dk..... 8 wow clients per B.net account.

I was thinking 8 mages, if they could farm something like they could Firelands. I did it with 5 mage, but 8 would have made things a bit smoother.

8 shaman, just a bit more power in AV

8 blood dk... I was just thinking about that time 10 dk took on firelands..

8 chars = no kick from LFR .. well even 6 means the same right?

Is it worth it? stopping short of a 10-man raid? I'm finding it difficult to justify the subs of even 8 boxing.. help me

It's a completely different playing field with more than 5. It is more difficult to que for pvp though. I know that valk enjoys his 8 shaman, but i know there were plenty of times when only four made it in to our games.

I think you should play as many as you can afford, and would enjoy playing. I am not sure on your main focus, and if you play with friends, as that could possibly change things. If it is for solo play, then you essentially could play whatever you want..The problem with 8 boxing is that you might as well 10 box.

Leveling two sets of four is great, but doesn't matter anymore with the looting changes. The problem with 8 is that you really cant run 5 man dungeons, unless you play a tank or healer.

I personally think that leveling a team of four is more fun than a team of five.

I've just moved to a new server to play with multiboxers, apart from the Guild I don't know anyone else who plays. Only my transferred toon is level 85, maybe I'll be able to join up with other multiboxers for bg/raids when I get other chars that far.

I think I know what you mean about levelling 4 versus 5. Back to back LFD on your own can get a bit boring, although there are no loot issues to think about!

Maybe I should stick to 5 boxing for now, what with MoP coming out - I'll be spending enough time levelling 5 new pandarian monks from scratch..

Well my friend, It's not like you wont have 2 years to figure it out down the road : )

At least with 5 you will know if its worth trying to box more or less at 90 without wasting any more money.

PvP is going to be hard as hell with all the stuns and slows. Not sure how endgame will be yet until they put it out.

problem is bnet limits us to 8 for some reason - wish it was 10 (you need 10 for 40 man old world raids to get guild achieve)

on the other hand I seem to suck (failing to do Throne of Tides with some of my 5...)
