nobody really knows and we're all theorycrafting at this point. So far the three favorites seem to be shamans, DKs, and pallys. I image we'll see some hunter teams too, and they may be dominate in large scale PvP BGs (e.g. AV), but they will need healing. I'm always a fan of priests, but I jumped on the melee boxing bandwagon - it's just easier to melee than to use casters.

Topping the dps charts in PvE, owning in PvP, or easy to box? Every single class is going to be very close to every other one. I suggest just playing the class you enjoy most.

How are we supposed to have this information before the expansion has been released? All we have is theorycrafting and guesses and I'm not sure I'd want to level eight of a class only to find out people were wrong about it and I had wasted my time.

Or they nerf it because Blizzard has no problem nerfing the crap out of things that are OP.

Follow my plan: level ALL classes, period.
You will NEVER be immune to the nerf bat if you only level ONE or TWO teams.
If you have ALL classes you become immune to the nerf bat.

I just finished 10 druids to lvl 80 in a week of casual play.
There are 12 weeks of RAF.
So you can do all 11 classes to lvl 80 in 3 months. And if you do only do the melee classes you are left with 6 teams: war, dk, paladin, shaman, druid, monk. (Rogue doesn't count since it's almost impossible to box)

Then you have to decide on which ones you want to level first to 90.
If you stick to it, and don't waste time in ORG/SW jumping around saying all that time that you're bored, you can do it.

Then in 6 months from now you can have all 11 classes geared in full arena gear and whatever season starts then you will be ready to adapt no matter what the NERF BAT brings down on us.

QFT. I neglected to be diligent when I first used RAF, and have done multiple other "half-assed" attempts to add characters that I realized I wanted later. Now that RAF goes to 80, it's so much more powerful than when I did it, I can't imagine leveling without it. I'm even contemplating how I'm gonna do Mists, but I'll probably just get full heirloom gear and tough it out.

Also, let's not forget the free levels.
DKs are a free team, you can grant them 20 levels from 60 to 80.
For every 2 teams you get another free team.

So level the standard way paladins, druids and monks (because they have all 3 roles: heals, dps, tank).
And then grant DKs 20 levels. You are now left with 20 + 40 + 40 levels to grant.
Level shamans and wars to 30 first. Then grant them the remaining 100 levels.

So you can get 6 teams in like 3-4 weeks or casual play.

    1-40 takes a lot less than 41-80.
I used to do a team to 80. Then a team to 41.9999 and grant to 80.9999.
