Thread: IWT and looting

    Default IWT and looting

As we all know, collection quests are the bane of our existence. Since I mainly play ranged I rarely use IWT. Lately I've been playing with it and I notice that if I right click on an item to pick up I often get errors around not being close enough to loot or not being able to do something while moving. Does anyone know what causes this? I'm thinking that to deal with collection quests better I may just want to make a broadcast to all slaves to assist my main and then another broadcast to iwt so they all try to go loot. Most quests don't allow you to pick up too many of a collection item so basically this will just rotate through all of the slaves.

Thats a problem in WoW. You have to hit IWT to run towards the mob, then IWT again to loot it.

If you're getting an error about not being close enough then it sounds like you don't have Click To Move enabled. It's under the Mouse options in game. With CTM on, your slaves should use it with IWT to run up to the mob and the error you get should be something about "That Object is Busy" {assuming you're all looting the same thing at the same time}.

I always just hit my attack/assist key with my main targeting the corpse, ran up to it, then hit the IWT broadcast key. In WoW, I usually had to hit IWT several times so they all picked up the loot.

I faced this problem too. When looting, I usually need to hit IWT key again after getting the error meesage. And yes the Click To Move is enabled. Annoying for sure. Wish you guys know of a better solution to this.

I just have a key set up with steps where step 1 is assist and step 2 is IWT. Then I just spam it until there's nothing left to loot. Or if there's a lot of mobs to loot, I forgo assist altogether, pile up and use my Interact with Mouseover setup.
