    Default Coming back!!! Hell yea!!!

    I took a long break from multiboxing and I want to come back now that MoP is being released.

    I used to 5 box HPal + 4DKs like everyone else and their grand mother. The reason I stopped multiboxing was because Blizzard makes changes all the time and one way or another my boxing comp felt unable to adapt. For a while warriors were OP, then rogues became OP, mages were OP all the time, etc. I needed to be more agile into changing my team to counter all these changes that Blizzard was doing. But that meant a bunch of leveling I was not willing to put up with.

    So now that I'm coming back to boxing, I want to use a different strategy. Which is I need to get all classes that are viable in boxing up to 90 and get conquest gear for all of them at the same time. What this means is that no matter what happens mid season to a class or another, I can adapt by changing my comp on the fly.

    Also, instead of 5 boxing, I'm going to 10 box. In AV and IoC 5 boxing feels limited, since in those BGs i'm not really playing to win, but to smash faces hard and get as many emo whispers as possible from lvl 1s. So that means I need to be able to kill 30+ players by myself. I think 10 can achieve that with 2-3 healers and 7-8 dps. Also, I want to try raids solo at some point.

    So the teams that I want to level are 10 of each of these classes: DK, Paladin, Warrior, Druid, Monk, Shaman. This covers 6 melee classes and 4 healing classes which is more than enough.
    I'm not interested in Mage, Warlock, Hunter, Rogue, Priest because these are not boxable, at least not competitively.

    Hunters might be an option now that they lose the dead zone, but multi rogues are gimped since we can't use all of their skills effectively.
    And the caster classes are just not interesting to me.

    Why am I writing this post? First of all to do some conversation with my fellow boxers and then I need some advice on how to start 10 accounts. I already have 5 now, but they don't have MoP on them, so if I only buy 5 more accounts, upgrading all 10 to MoP means $60*5 + $30*5 = $450 but I would be really gimped because RAF will not work properly with 5 existing accounts (i.e. I can't level 5 at a time and have the XPx3 bonus, only 4 at a time).
    If I buy 10 new accounts that will cost $600 which is only $150 more. So my existing accounts are not worth much now.

    So, do you guys have any advice on how to setup 10 brand new accounts?
    More specific questions:

    1) Should I have 2 bnets or 10 bnets? In my 5 boxing I had one bnet and it was painful to always have to select the account at the login screen. If they are separate bnets then I think I don't have to select anything if I save the username.
    2) The link scheme? 1>2>3>4>5>6>7>8>9>10? Or something else?
    3) Anything else that you guys want to share
    4) I need some encouragement words to pull this through and not give up when I realize how much work all this will require in the beginning

    If you use ISboxer, once you make a team..log them in.. you never have to select them again.. it remembers each account and sub account. bad thing about 10 accounts is you would need, and i do mean need, 10 authenticators! that would but nutz!

    Lyonheart raises a good point. One thing to keep in mind , is if you plan to do pet battles amongst yourself, you will need 2 B-net accounts. Just a heads up is all.

    Anyways, welcome back man. Always glad to see another boxer.

    Even if you don't use ISBoxer, you can avoid having to select accounts by keeping individual Config.wtf files. I have my main WoW install, then 4 slave folders that are symlinked. Each has an unlinked Config.wtf. Each Config.wtf file has a line of your account names

    The one with the exclamation point is the last account that was logged in and thus the account that will automatically be selected in the dropdown next time you launch.

    As long as each slave has its own Config.wtf with its own account selected, you're in ezmode. Set the account in that line by putting ! in front of it and you never have to select the dropdown again. That's how I've been doing it with HotKeyNet for over a year.

    Wow Khatovar, that's awesome. How do I create 4 slaved folders symlinked? I can probably look it up but just in case you have a good link.

    There's a post here about it. You'll want to go here and grab both downloads for whatever OS you're using.

    Once that's installed, you'll get a Symlink option on your right-click menu.

    Make a copy of your WoW folder, skipping the things you are going to symlink. I symlink Cache, Data, Interface, and Screenshots. So, copy everything else into new folders for your slaves {I have WoW - Slave1-4}.

    Go back to your main's folder. I leave it open in its own window just to make it easier. Hold down Ctrl and select the subfolders you want to symlink {Cache, Data, Interface, Screenshots}. Right click on a selected folder. You will see a new option in your menu called "Pick Link Source". Select that.

    Go into one of the slave folders and right-click again. This time you will see 2 new options "Cancel Link Creation" and "Drop As...". Select "Drop As..." and on the flyout select "Symbolic Link". Your slave folder should now have all the same folders as your main, but the symlinked ones will have a little Arrow icon over them.

    Go back and do the Pick Link Source and Drop As... Symbolic Link for all your remaining folders.

    To select the account, you can either go in and use Notepad to edit the Config.wtf for each of them, or you can launch and log in to each account and let the game save it.

    Just make sure you change your launch location for your slaves in whatever program you're using so that it uses the exe in the individual slave folders. That will make each slave use their own Config.wtf

    .... I'm getting ready to add 5 more accounts to my existing 5, and from what I understand your method listed above is the correct way to go in order to get the best benefit for the triple xp and all.
