So, I am almost certainly going to run 3 Operatives and 1 Assassin(debating PT! I've got two 50 marauders on Bastion already I'd basically have 2 teams for the price of 1) when I start up later tonight. Since PvP is important to me I'm very interested to see how 3 Lethality Operatives will do loading people up with dots I will probably drive with the assassin in PvP.

For PvE the team should be solid, though I am wondering if 3x Lethality/Medic hybrids will have enough DPS and healing to work, or if it will be better to specialize 1 into healing and the other two as pure lethality or concealment.

    My other two choices for teams are;

    PTorJugg/Marauderx2/Healer
    or PTx3/Healer

I'm not sure what the best healer for those two teams is going to be. Sorc seems like it would be pretty good, but I really enjoy the mobility Operative healing has with its hot, which if memory serves was superior to the sorc hot. On the other hand, a Mercenary in PvP is going to be a lot less squishy and more able to stand in and tank more damage ala a Holy Paly.

Anyone who runs a 4x team want to wade in on the pros and cons of the different healers for me!

Been running the HMs for BH comms on my 3 Op 1 Sin group. All my ops are in Lethality spec with 2 points in the healing talent that makes heals faster and gives Tactical Advantage. The HMs are definitely more challenging than on my well geared team, but I think it is just b/c of the gear. The tactics are definitely different than on my first team as well - I make use of the three ops to self heal or all tank heal a few times during the boss fights and don't have Frenzy (Bloodlust), so the boss fights are longer. However, I sure can skip a lot of trash with the stealth team. On Boarding Party I only have to kill 5 mobs between the second and last bosses.

Opted for PT as my tank.

Assassins seem to be possibly the strongest min/max tank with PT being the weakest, but...

In PvP with Operatives, Lethality and PT are both operating at the same range 10m. Additionally, if I decide to run PT/Marax2/Op for HM's I can drive with a marauder and shouldn't have too many issues with closing the distance on the PT vs the Assassin.

Anyways, I've started now. I'm on The Bastion imp side level 1, still sort of getting myself set up and remembering my old key binds and what not. However, it sounds like 3x Lethality Op's will put out an insane amount of healing pressure in WZ's. Should be fun!

I'm slowly getting there on my team, I just got 2 of the guys to 50, both PTs, my tank and DPS. I geared myself out in the recruit gear!

Hopefully I can be at 50 on all my guys before the end of the weekend. I can try and grind out the legacy exp I guess, then I can level up another team a bit faster.

There seems to be so much travel in the game, I'm going to be happy to get all the questing behind me.

I haven't even tried a flashpoint yet so that should be interesting.

One thing I would recommend if you have already completed the story for that class. Only do the story quest either a) Up to your ship (if you have already unlocked your legacy) b) up to the chapter which unlocks your legacy. The reason I say this is, running the story quests with the same classes is so unbelievably tedious. Then at 50, take a few hours to go back and clean it all up.

I've already decided that my next group will be 1 PT, 1 Marauder, 1 Sorc, 1 Operative, so that I don't have to fiddle with the back tracking through every single story instance. I can just quest normally and bang out the stories organically as I hit them, and bring everyone in without having to worry about going back and forth, back and forth.

Now that you say that, that might be a good way to get your various teams of 4 of the same class. just lvl 4 teams with one each class in them lol.. that was the one thing that I could never get past, i hated the class quests after having to do them x4 so many times. They were awesome the first time through though.

I'm having reservations about my current 3 Op 1 PT team for HM FP's. Simply put, I think I will have a lot of enrage timer wipes.

Right now I think I may be switching things up. First, I think I will be swapping to a full operative team strictly for PvP. Next, I will make the following changes to my team for PvE. Once operatives are 50, level a Jugg and another Marauder.

    Giving me.

    PvP 4x Op
    PvE Jugg/Marax2/Op
    PvP2 3x Mara/Jugg

The problem as I see it with my current team, PT and Operatives is that I have to bee very careful managing the Operative energy on boss fights since they are all running dual purpose spec's. Now, I could go to a single dedicated healer and 2 DPS operatives. However, in general operative sustained DPS is one of the lowest, if not the lowest in the game. For HM FP's this means a lot of enrage timers.

Mercbeast - your argument for Operative DPS is legit for now, but I imagine that in upcoming patches that Operative sustained DPS will be helped out a little bit. For your PVE team with two marauders, I could see having only one CC ability as a problem (unless they have one that I don't know about). You might be better off with 2 PTs (one tank and one DPS) and 2 Mercenaries for a complete team of one class with very high DPS and a combination of ranged and melee DPS.

Now that I think about it... I think my new IMP team will be all bounty hunters!

Well I just started a brand new 4 box team on the bastion imp side. I decided to go with 4 Inquisitors. 1 Assassin tank, 2 Sorc DPS, 1 Sorc heals. The goal is endgame PVE content with all 4 and occasional PVP with any combination of 2 of them.

I'll put my names in once I get to my computer because they have special characters.
