    Default Trinket Burst Damage Adjustments

    http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/7338813820

so what you think atm my hunters have been hit hard with the last Burst and this a big one for me. Am human and i use a double pvp trinkets.

I see this hitting shams are well is it going to be a nulf to stop them GCD a player?. i still don't see how this is going to fix the big parts off PvP its not the fact i get brust down its the fact that a few players can just CC bomb me and am standing about watching my char take crt after crt.

Why can we not go back to the BC days when pvp lowered what you get crted for it was such a better system. it worked in pve as the pve players stacked crt to get high dmg in pve and pvp did not matter if you did a 200k crt on a spell as u would resi the crt.

whats the point in resi if am going to take big hits for 200-300k crts on my 323k hp pool. ya will this fix the prob probs not.

Plain and simple PVP is broken right now, this won't really fix any problems... an extra 200 stat nerf isn't going to make or break most class's burst damage.

I kinda like the change, it still gives too much of an advantage to humans. And orcs blood fury is now really good. Though this won't be enough, it's one of the steps they 'll have to take. I see them bumping base resilience with 10-20% to be honest. Either way it shows they are committed to balance pvp, even though they haven't done the most brilliant job so far.

Beyond the on-use on trinkets, pvp power is a big factor. What exactly happened here with pvp power and resilience? It's the first season and you can already easily pack 50% pvp power yet resilience doesn't go much higher than 60% unless you're stacking gems.

I'm like half geared on my DK's, 3 epics, honor gear, t1 weapon first upgrade. 47% pvp power, 56% resilience.

What happens next season, or the next? 85% pvp power?

Even now I run into humans with over 55% pvp power that cut through me like 0 resil felt last season. It's like the stat was completely negated. All it accomplished is you can't use much pve gear unless it's ilvl 500.

PVP is never perfect but since vanilla I've seen it completely and utterly broken many times. Vanilla was terrible as far as balance - but it was so fun. Final seasons in almost every expansion were terrible due to legendaries and pve gear. And then there is the intermittent problem with invincible healers - how many times have paladins and druids gotten to the point of it requiring 5 dps to take them down?

Honestly I still find it fun. Less fun than when things are balanced, but ridiculous burst is at least more fun than invincible healers and overpowered self healing and defensive cooldowns. I'd rather be blown up by a warrior or make someone explode with obliterate than run around forever trying to kill super druid while he laughs and jumps around casting hots. That's probably just around the corner with all the qq about too much burst.

    I like the change.

It may end up helping certain classes too much. It helps classes that have 1 min dps cooldown so now they will have a trinket everytime instead of once every 3 minutes. Classes like mage, BM hunters, dks(1 min pillar) and a few others it will help them alot. If they are human even better.

I know I dont pop my defensives until I see other players pop their dps burst cooldowns, this change helps in that regard. It helps diminish defensive cooldowns. By how much I have no clue.

Now if they add the extra 15% healing debuff on top to the 15% already in arena/rbg/not sure on randoms that gc mentioned in the pvp blog, I will be happy.

I'd prefer an overall burst damage nerf and more sustain damage, at the moment I can even oneshot demo locks with 420k hp (44% pvp power), warrior+x can also oneshot one of my toons. So if everyone takes like a 20% nerf on their burst cooldowns I could still oneshot everything except locks and classes with more than the usual 3% parry/dodge(I can but it seems like one stormblast gets ALWAYS parried/dodged), clearly I want more changes in that direction.

    Mage
    • When Fire Blast modified by Glyph of Fire Blast is used to detonate a Frost Bomb, the resulting Frost Bomb now deals 50% less damage.

    Warrior
    • Taste for Blood now only stacks 1 time versus other players (was 3 times).

    PvP
    • The Battle Fatigue healing reduction debuff has been increased to 30% (was 15%).
