Lots of great discussion here.
I didn't think turning worked when frost nova'd. I'll have to try that.
IRT NS and EM: right now I have them just included in my macros so that EM fires whenever it's up for CL, and NS fires whenever its up for LB. That way I can cast a 2 second CL with 4x crits, plus an instant 4x LB as follow up + shocks if that doesn't finish them. That seems to take down just about anything. I used to have NS and EM on separate buttons but then it seems i have way too many buttons to press and decisions to make in the split moment of pvp. Maybe as I become more comfortable with multibox pvp i'll try that.
Someone mentioned not using /assist for casting macros (like the lightning bolt macro) but rather just [target=focustarget] and I was trying to figure out the benefit. I can see it at least throwing off the team watching my targeting.
Ellay's kill order also was interesting, particularly with rogues being so low on the list, and mages (with iceblock) being up at the top. I wonder if having the better gear is the reason, as with more armor the physical damage attacks become less threatening, thus the lowered ranking for rogues (despite their ability to completely lock up one of your guys.) I can understand rating mages high though. That aoe, blizzard in particular, as well as pom pyros can destroy you.
I think also IRT healers - especially paired with a paladin being a superb single target healer, the single target dpsers like rogues become far less of an issue.
How do you tell the difference between a cheat-death and non-cheat-death rogue?
It does.Originally Posted by 'dizz',index.php?page=Thread&postID=44439#post4443 9
You can't right off the bat. You will have to wait for them to use one of the "discovery" talents. A combat rogue will pop Adrenaline Rush and if you don't CC a decently geared Adrenaline Rushed + Blade Flurried rogue in range of two of your party members then you are in for some serious hurt. Popping Adrenaline Rush or Blade Flurry is a NO CHEAT DEATH flag. If you get kicked while not casting and silenced then you are dealing with a rogue with Improved Kick and that means NO CHEAT DEATH.How do you tell the difference between a cheat-death and non-cheat-death rogue?
A mutilate rogue will lock down one of your guys and put out some serious burst. Mutilate used = NO CHEAT DEATH.
Most CHEAT DEATH rogues will be Shadowstep spec so if they Shadowstep you are dealing with a CHEAT DEATH. If your 1K damage abilities are doing 10 damage then you are dealing with a CHEAT DEATH.

with regards to discovering if a rogue or any class is a particular spec proximo and several other addons will regularly scan the armory for peoples spec and put it into a big data file in their addons so when they get put in proximo's list you also see their spec.
