Avast is preventing me from launching character sets

So Avast has started doing what AVG did that caused me to switch away from it about 4 months ago... It will prevent me from launching character sets almost all of the time.

Does anyone know how to fix this or if there's a virus scan out there that doesn't cause this issue?

I've set wow.exe as a trusted process in the Behavior Shield section and I've created exclusions for my WoW and InnerSpace directories in the File System shield section...

I'd love to be able to launch on the first try again, having to close out ISboxer and InnerSpace and relaunch multiple times is getting annoying...

I use Avira, But I can not say it is the best anti-virus out there. It does the job most of the time.

ALL antivirus software eventually has a false-positive problem with something. Some more than others. How much you know about it and how much people whine is directly proportional to the popularity of the app/service/etc. that it ends up faulting on.

To better assist you with your problem, what exactly is AVG telling you when it "prevents you from launching character sets?" As in, please paste either the exact error or a pic of the window. More detail is better.

Also, are you running ISBoxer in administrator mode? What about InnerSpace?

It doesn't tell me anything. It simply does not launch the character set when I right click > Launch from the Character Set list in ISBoxer (it does the same when I try it using a desktop shortcut.

Win7 is known to have many issues with admin. A lot of case's admin account or not you also need to select "Run as Administrator" from the right click menu

Just because your account is an admin doesn't make your programs run in administrator mode (if you have UAC enabled).

That is absolutely f$cking stupid. I set myself as administrator because I'm capable of being a grown up and caring for my computer. How do I make it so that whenever I open a particular program it *always* runs as administrator while on an admin account?

Just because your account is an admin doesn't make your programs run in administrator mode (if you have UAC enabled).

I have UAC set to "Never Notify". Is there something further that I need to do?
