I ran Act I again, took 40 minutes and I was full on yellows.
5 level 63 items total out of about 120 total.
Tons of 61 and 62s. Not many rings or amulets though.

I cleared Whimsyshire after I farmed Act 1 - it took about the same time, 40 mins max.
26 rares total
1 legendary
5 level 63
I had to skip one pack of shielded bears, but other than that I cleared it with maybe 3 deaths each.

Did another whimsyshire, 8x level 63's in one run. Same time 30-40 mins.

Awesome news. I'm working on a new build - hoping to get some time to report back the stats and will let you know![]()

I feel a bit silly - can't believe I didn't realize this earlier. I saw the signs, but didn't put 2+2 together.
"I have Big Bad Voodoo Raindance on round robin for 80 seconds of total mana regen."
Well... BBV Rain dance doesn't effect other party members!!! At least the mana regen part - just the caster.
So I switched to BBV - Slam dance which gives ALL party members in the area 30% more damage, and 20% attack speed increase.
It turns out a free 30% damage increase to all party members, for 80 seconds, makes a massive difference on the elite packs.

You should be using 1 of each totem and use all 4 at the same time as they stack (beside the mana regen portion). The mana regen one goes to the main WD who has a 1k+ DPS mhander while the other 3 all have a manajuma (35% MF). Very simple to destroy packs in Act 1/2 this way.
Gearing for life regen and life on hit is a total waste, those are not for the WD. Same deal goes for the stun/freeze gear. You should be looking for int/vit/max mf/sockets. You don't need resists for act 1/2.

I'm successfully farming Whimsyshire, Act 3/4 and I've posted videos of me doing it. So telling me that I picked the wrong gear and it's a total waste is a bit of a silly statement.
Everyone knows Act 1 is a faceroll, so I could probably do it with just about any spec and blue gear. In my posts above I was just trying to do some apples to apples drop comparisons.
I've been farming Whimsyshire, Act 3/4, so that's what I'm geared for - no comparison to act 1/2. I don't use all the totems at once since it's a 2 minute CD. And in Whimsyshire you have to move a lot, so you go out of totem range and you just blew a 2 min CD.
My Act 1 farming gear is currently 250% MF on my 3 alts, 120% on my main with no buffs. Well over 300% average with 5 stacks. (Thanks to void for the tip on MF gearing)

Whatever you're doing, it's far from optimal. You were already clueless on how MF functioned yet ran here to copy/paste after I had already explained to you. Whatever is fun for you I guess but stacking those stats is a complete and utter waste if your goal is to optimise for item finding. 5 i63's in 40 minutes is proof of this.

There are already plenty of videos online that explain how to effectively play a WD. I don't need to make one myself to explain to someone why stun/freeze gear is next to useless for a WD.. sorta obvious as to why.
Love the software but this forum is full of a bunch of old timers who think EQ/DAOC skills apply to D3. I'm out.
