I don't really care what other people do in game unless it directly impacts what I am doing. In BGs I just have my combat log up, in anything else I just have most channels turned off. The only people I speak with in-game are my friends, or rarely someone who asks me questions about boxing if I happen to see their comment in local.

Since it is incredibly unlikely that a few boxers behaving poorly would result in a ban of boxers, I am not worried. It would be like teenage boys worrying that they will be banned because they are teenage boys and the vast majority of player caused problems in most games are a result of teenage boys.

For me, I don't feel that I speak for all multi-boxers, or am even representative of the community (which, I should say, is less a community adore a rough collection of individuals who happen to have one, fairly unimportant trait, n common). So if I see a boxer behaving badly I see just an individual behaving badly and don't worry much about how it might make me look. And I certainly won't police boxers because what would be the point even if it were possible? The people who are behaving badly will just tell me to fuck off, the people who are behaving acceptably will resent me implying that they might behave badly, and the people who get what I am saying would just ignore it as irrelevant to them.

More to the point is that it is immature players causing problems, and some of them may be boxers, and some of them may not be. Boxing is just one visible trait of the person being annoying, and it's an uncommon one, so most people will fixate on that as the cause, rather than just an irrelevant trait. It's kind of like how racial stereotyping works: a person who is an asshole just happens to also be a minority, but their being an asshole gets attributed by people who are not also of that particular minority to their membership in that class rather than to just that individual being an asshole.
