Adding assist to movement? That's an odd one... It could also have unintended consequences, since movement requires the Hold option. This means from Slot 1 if you're moving guys with W, they hold Shift+Backspace AND W, so it will be interpreted as Shift+W. Well that's fine but now consider the other Slots and FTL modifiers.... if you're in slot 3, and move guys with S (hold Alt+S in your 3rd window), now it holds Ctrl+Backspace+S so the game may interpret it as Ctrl+S. And so on. Ctrl+S I believe is a default WoW hotkey to toggle sound....

I would probably drop the assist from those.

    example
    lax version
    Code:
    /stopmacro [target=target,noexists] [noharm] [dead]
    /startattack
    /click ErrorsOFF

    /cast Blood Boil

    /click ErrorsON
    jack version
    Code:
    /click ErrorsOFF

    /stopmacro [target=target,noexists] [noharm] [dead]
    /startattack
    /cast Blood Boil

    /click ErrorsON
can the following be used as a /click? i saw a "PreAttack" click that i stole from an isboxer forum thread a long time ago.
    Code:
    /stopmacro [target=target,noexists] [noharm] [dead]
    /startattack
No, when I put those in another macro and used /click I found it would not work as desired.

By the way I would not put /click ErrorsOFF before /stopmacro because it will keep errors OFF if the /stopmacro line hits (because the macro stops, /click ErrorsON will never hit). Put it right before /startattack but AFTER the /stopmacro and it should properly handle all the error messages but without incorrectly sticking off.

    click bars for:
    everything?
you guys that do this where do you get your images/graphics clip-art stuff?
how do i perma turn off the graphic for the stupid formation keymap click bars at startup without ripping them out of the profile permanantly?
its a nice lil sample but its the two states that i know without a reminder are on/off ect
I'm not a huge fan of Click Bars for everything, but then again I don't have 60 individual Hotkeys to remember for each individual function built into the game

There's 2 main reasons to use a Click Bar for something. That's A) to remember fewer Hotkeys, and B) to have a visual indicator. A lot of people will use original ability graphics; for some people this means take a screenshot and copy/paste stuff out of it into a separate image; for some people this means go to fan sites or resources like wowwiki and right click images and click Save As (note that depending on their license, you may not be allowed to re-distribute those images, but you can save them and use them for your own configuration no matter what); I believe there's also wow interface kits that will extract the images from the game data files.

If you're thinking about showing cooldowns from the actual ability button (some people do ask about this), then the answer is to use a Video FX view of the actual ability button, over the Click Bar. This only works when the ability button is in a different window though, since Video FX cannot work from the original window.

For a lot of things you might consider a Click Bar button for, a simpler solution (not "the best" solution, but for how easy it is to do this method it's great) is to use the same visible Action Bar button for some ability on each guy, and put a Repeater Region over it. That way, just clicking on the Action Bar button is sufficient. I do many uncommon things like this so that I don't need special configuration or Hotkeys for various non-combat abilities. Plus the Repeater Region can cover multiple Action Bar buttons in the same area.

activate maps ? shift+alt+M? those of you that changed the hotkey to be more ergonomic what key did you end up with? mine is \ but its still somewhat of a reach but at least it doesnt have a modifier in it. im asuming most of your hotkeys are on the left side of the keyboard.
Personally I use Shift+Alt+M or the Click Bar. Also, personally, I avoid configuring any ISBoxer Hotkeys on keys that I use for typing, so my solution probably isn't the right one for you. My hotkeys, quite purposefully, all either have a modifier (mainly suitable for things I don't need to hit or rotate through quickly), or are on non-typing buttons (e.g. on a separate input device like my Logitech G13). If you need to do it often, it sort of just needs to be easy to reach; Alt+Z isn't much harder to do than just Z for example (Alt and Z being basically next to each other) and you shouldn't need to hit it in a pinch unless you make a habit of stopping to type during combat.

I'd add ... C) to enable you to do 2 actions at once, such as healing a character with your right hand using the mouse and a Click Bar while DPSing with your left hand using the keyboard. This is the main motivation behind the various Click Healing setups that use a Click Bar.

these are the 3 colors i ended up choosing for my popup text. I also noticed looking at NoLife's videos that bracket the text with *** brings out the text alot better.

this site helped me find the base number to start with.

You have to open with a "zinger" or attention getter When you give a speech or write or a story or something. consider editing this article opening with a reason the reader should read on. A reason why click bars are dam useful. like what you said below.

does "create alternate hot-key" intended to simply make a copy of the mapped key modifying the hot-key?
If so if I decide at some later time to alter the primary mapped key will the "alternate" update too?

I accidentally found an input conflict a while back when i tried to bind strafe right to page down. Blizzard said that page down was already taken by left mouse click. I remembered before I had created a left mouse button Variable Keystroke. Im assuming ISboxer arbritrately assigned Page Down Key as the Key Combination for it.

can someone illuminate me on why this happens?

It doesn't make a copy of the Mapped Key.

It creates a Mapped Key with a Hotkey, with the Hold option enabled, and a Do Mapped Key Action to perform the original Mapped Key. In this fashion, an alternate Hotkey for the existing Mapped Key is created. It really is an alternative hotkey for the original Mapped Key. If you modify the original Mapped Key, the alternate will perform the updated version because that's all it knows to do.

ISBoxer does not assign anything in the game from Variable Keystrokes. Variable Keystrokes are your list to tell ISBoxer what the game's key bindings are, not the other way around.

The only way a WoW Macro will be assigned and key-bound (ISBoxer doesn't key bind anything else in the game) is for either a) a WoW Macro Action to exist with the given Key Combination, or b) a WoW Macro in an assigned WoW Macro Set, from the WoW Macro Library.

Also, in my experience, Page Up/Down shouldn't be used as key bindings in WoW because of built-in functionality in the chat window. If that doesn't give you trouble, though, go for it.
