Level 16, with RaF. I followed Zygor's guide. After a certain point, a lot of the quests become grey also, to add insult to injury.

There is noway out the starting zone that i know of unless you like to pay Real Life money to change after. Only good thing is a lot of the pickups are 100% drops its just Slow. Saying that there is not many quests in the game with low drops anymore. Nothing like the old days.

With Zygor's Guides it should be default advise you to leap ahead/skip the older quests. go into the options and make sure thats enabled.
Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it"

While the Zygor Guides addon might let you skip greyed out quests (not sure if you can set it to skip a quest that has to be completed in order, before you can progress with the quest chain), doing so wouldn't help you.

You need to do all of the quests, in order to escape the starting area.

I know, later on you can set it to skip quests that are non-beneficial.
And it will have you do a few here and there, but only because they are prerequisites for later quests, which will not be greyed out.

I would probably do the Goblin zone once.
And if I ever felt the need for another Goblin character... level anything else, and then race change afterwards.
A hundred bucks is a better choice than that degree of gathering, an extra time through with five toons.

If you plan on boxing alot of characters is Zygor's guide really needed?
I'm also wondering whether you can LFD with 5 shamans? Not sure whether a tank is needed.

    thanks,

Can one not just get a mass summon to a dungeon entrance and level that way?

Can anyone advise me on whether I should pick up all the professions and try levelling them all at the same time ; using Vidfx on isboxer?

    thanks,

mass summon does not work pvp queng does not work LFG does not work warlock summon does not work (though i got told it does :S) Raf Summon does not work that av tested it. it just comes up with red text saying you can not leave. and you will not get your bank pet if u can even get out somehow.

GM Support will not help as well even though i said i done it 100 times and its doing my head in.

the only way is to level trolls or something and then race change them later. but it will be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I really wouldn't bother with professions while leveling, especially if you don't already have a max level team.

One problem you will run into is that herbalism and mining give significant XP, which will cause whoever has those professions to level ahead of the rest of the team.

Secondly, you will have a very difficult if not totally impossible time of keeping your tradeskills up to par vs the zones you are in. Solo players are constantly complaining that they grey out leveling content in zones LONG before they level out tradeskill content {ore, herbs, skins, cloth}, it will be much worse for a multiboxer, especially if you do any leveling in dungeons or battlegrounds, have heirlooms or guild XP bonuses or RAF.

It'll be much less of a headache to just go back and level up when you have money saved, fast mounts and the ability to mindlessly faceroll whatever content you need for mats.

From my understanding, Goblins can't leave the starting area at all until they complete the questline. If you try to summon them out, they will get an error message about fulfilling their Bilgewater Destiny or some such.

    Yeah running into lots of gathering quests at the moment. Level 9.5 now so hopefully only a couple more levels to go. At least it's only a 6-12 level zone ;

    Thanks for the info.
