LOL.. he did not say lvlb crit gives a lvlb .. he said a CRIT will give a 100% INSTA CAST lvlb. I know his english is not perfect, but i am sure i understand what he meant. I think he is talking about lava surge crits are 100% instead of having a "chance" ( like it is now )to give a free lava burst. ( from flame shock ticks )

edit:looking at lava surge tooltip( live in beta atm ), it still says flame shock ticks have a 'chance", so not sure what he means now.. i can see in his screenshot that he had just had a lava surge.

Sorry but this confuses the living shit out of me. I'll try to explain how it works:

    - if flame shock IS NOT on the target, lava burst is a normal spell (it can crit or not crit, and it can overload or not)
    - if flame shock IS on the target, lava burst is a guaranteed crit, and all elemental spells crit for 250% (instead of 200%) thanks to elemental fury
    - each flame shock tick has a 20% chance to proc lava surge, which resets the cooldown of your lava burst
    - if lava surge procs, your next lava burst will become an instant cast (exactly like the 4p set bonus in firelands did)
    - if mastery procs, (overload), it will be a guaranteed crit if flame shock is on the target, but it deals only 75% of the damage (so 3/4 of 250% = 187.5%)
    - if you take echo of the elements, both your lava burst and your overload can be copied, so 1 lava burst can result in maximum 4 lava bursts, last math I saw was around 9-10% chance for echo of the elements to proc

yea i understand all that. I was just replying to his comment which specifically states " a crit gives u a ins cast LvB", and was just looking for clarification if that was a mistaken statement or something that changed ..maybe via a glyph or something. It did sound a tad OP.

ya sorry the tooltip on lava surge reads as u said here but on beta when i tryed on beta i was FS > Lbv > lava surge would proc 100%. and even then it keep going and going and going. think i had like 6 in a row all crits (might be a bug with numbers) but in beta there just silly. ill roll some shammys out this week on beta anyway.

Let me help you with my magic translator "a crit(ical) gives (yo)u a(n) ins(tant) cast LvB" (LvB=lava burst )

hahaha I honestly didn't figure out the ins = instant part, afterwards it's pretty stupid on my end of course. But now after what ebony said about the 100% lava surge proc I understand the reasoning. I can't imagine that being intended though (I am pretty involved in the theory crafting scene for ele and follow pretty much every new post about it, without reading a single thing).
