MoP Beta - Elemental Shaman in Action!

Saw this on YouTube, and I wanted to share it. Preach is one of the better beta reviewers on YouTube, so his information is usually presented well. This is a simple dungeon run-through on an elemental shaman showing the damage, new totems etc.

That's quite interresting .. So we still have Chain Heal as elemental, I thougth we were going to lose that?
And Lava Burst a guarenteed crit, no matter what.. I was sad when they removed the glyph, but this is just incredible awesome.

lava burst won't be a guaranteed crit, they removed the glyph from the game afaik

Glyph of Lava Burst. Your Lava Burst spell will always be a critical strike regardless of the presence of Flame Shock on the target, but it deals 5% less damage

I know they removed the glyph, I stated that.. but now Lava Burst is guarenteed crit without glyph
atleast that is what he said, but maybe thats wrong?

He talks about it on 2 minuts into this movie, which is him talking about the talents and such, even though the tooltip says "if flameshock is on target" he
litually says that it dosnt require it, perhaps its a glitch or something going on in BETA atm.

I don't think he meant that.. i think he meant 100% crit. LvB crits making LvB instant cast wouldn't make any sense. Every single LvB should crit, since all you need is flame shock..

LOL.. he did not say lvlb crit gives a lvlb .. he said a CRIT will give a 100% INSTA CAST lvlb. I know his english is not perfect, but i am sure i understand what he meant. I think he is talking about lava surge crits are 100% instead of having a "chance" ( like it is now )to give a free lava burst. ( from flame shock ticks )

edit:looking at lava surge tooltip( live in beta atm ), it still says flame shock ticks have a 'chance", so not sure what he means now.. i can see in his screenshot that he had just had a lava surge.

It's absolutely the first thing I hear about that, and to be honest I'm very sure the guy in the vid is wrong.

Nothing has changed: if flame shock is on the target and you cast lava burst, it will be a guaranteed crit. What has changed is the amount you crit for: all crits are now 200% baseline for every class, but some specs like ele shaman have a talent (for ele called elemental fury) that makes you crit for 250% of the normal damage.

Sorry, I was talking about the chance to proc an extra lava burst, based on Ebonys last screenshot and comment.. is it a chance to proc? or 100% proc if you crit on lb/cl? If it changed to a 100% proc after a crit, that would up the value of crit right?
