Greetings! I'm sure this has been brought up. I did a search and nothing came so. I apologize for any headaches.
Okay, here's the situation. (No, my parents didn't go away on a weeks vacation...)
I'm running 2 instances of WoW, Keyclone, and the handy G15 keyboard with the profiler.
WM) W:\World of warcraft
WS) W:\WoW-Slave
To make things easier on me, I just set up my DNP as a white list instead.
What I'm trying to do is set my G1 key to something obscure like CTRL+ALT+Num7. That's not the hard part, the hard part is that I'm using that combination on my slave and not at all on my master.
I've tried it with the G15 Profiler looking at both the master and slave folder. I've tried it with persistant profiles active (and setting my WoW profile as the one to make active). No matter how I've tried it, the G1 key only works when the WoW application that the profile is pointing to is the one that has focus.
I don't know if this matters so much, but I notice in the white list for KC, it sets "LCTRL+LCTRL+Num7", where as the profile doesn't care about left / right.
In doing this, should I just set up my DnP list as Do Not Pass? I haven't tried that yet because I didn't want to lose all those settings if I could just allow those keys through.
Edit:
After seeing another post asking about White List and CTRL+1, I think it stems more from this then the profiler. I set Num7 as the key for my G1 and it worked.
So I think I have my answer, but if anyone has any other suggestions please feel free to share. I think I'm going to have to go the way of the DnP list being Do Not Pass. Which is a shame because I like being able to do certain things (like talk with both characters at the same time) from time to time.
