The changes to valor have me little worried. The talk of take out items that can be gotten with valor means if you want gear raid lvl have to raid to get them. other than MoP looking really good

http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/...ge=27#comments talk about valor at the bottom of the wall of blue text

yeah but LFR exists so you wont really need valor items.

yeah the LFR will be nice but still give lower ilvl than what valor gives now. they said you will not be able to up LFR gear to = normal mode so still would not be able to get as good as gear.

You will be able to upgrade gear to a degree, but not enough to make lfr = normal.
A blue poster gave an example of 8 ilvl points. In todays terms that means 384->392, while normal gear is at least 397.

The whole idea of valor was for people who did not want to raid at all. They wanted to quest, run dungons for gear and never ever raid. There are millions of people who like it that way. I think they will get a lot of flack if there is no way to get the raid level gear without raiding. Even though LFR is very easy, a lot of people just don't like to raid period. Most of the easy mode changes were made to cater to the masses of non raiding casuals to start with, so with that in mind the change does not make a whole lot of sense.

With that said, I like the change, i think people who DO like to raid should have the best gear in the game. But maybe if the challenge modes are going to be very hard, that should offer a way to get raid level gear as well, at least LFR level.

With my work schedule, there is NO way i CAN raid these days. LFR is my only option and is in my opinion, the 2nd best thing they have ever implemented. The first being /follow

I don't know, /assist or interact with target would be my 2nd and 3rd but....

I like the way LFR is. I can "raid' on my terms and still get upgrades. Does anyone know if you can use Valor (or conquest) to upgrade PvP gear?

Valor as I understand it only upgrades your tier gear gradually.

I thought we were specifically keeping all of the MOP stuff in one thread to prevent 99 of these from showing up.
