Default What is the better processor for multiboxing

I'm thinking about getting a new processor. I run about 12 eve online clients at once and looking to run more.

    I'm looking at the
    Intel Core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E 3.2GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 2011 130W Six-Core Desktop Processor

    or the
    AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor

What would be the better for multiboxing?

    I currently have
    AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor

While running about 10+ clients my windows aero cries about resources and wants me to switch to classic mode.

    other system specs:
    16gb ram
    2x Nvida GTX 560

Just curious, how much memory are each of your eve instances using up? I think mine used ~600mb with all the details turned down as low as possible.

But you will see a huge improvement going from a p2 x4 to either the 8150 or 3930k. 8150 has pretty terrible single-threaded performance, it only shines when all 8 cores are utilized, and even then won't outpace an intel proc.

    +1 on Intel.
Nothing against AMD, but most games run quite a bit faster on Intel.
Multiboxing multiplies that performance advantage (or disadvantage if you pick AMD).
Having said all that, I haven't seen any recent benchmarks specific to Eve Online.
