Mouse re-centering on click?

Anyone have an obvious idea why clicking on a (WoW) slave window re-centers the mouse cursor? It's strange in that it doesn't do it if I'm clicking an item in inventory, a button or a unit frame.

I'm guessing I have something misconfigured as it did not do this until I started using a no-swap layout. I'll post my config when I get home tonight if it's not something obvious.

It has to do with mouselook.

When you perform a left or right click on the game world, WoW is going to:
1. Hide the cursor (when you click)
2. Center it
3. Un-center the cursor (when you let go)
4. Un-hide the cursor

The bug people report about WoW centering the mouse when you click is from #3 not happening. WoW is supposed to store the cursor position and then restore it, and it's not restoring it. I don't know the conditions for the bug to happen. This is all I have

Yeah, I don't recall this happening in Rift or EVE, despite very similar setups. I don't recall it happening in WoW either with it set to a swapping setup. I'll see if I can narrow it down some.

I was having this issue when I was running two video cards and two monitors. All the mice on the second monitor / swap group would re-center when I clicked anywhere. I had a modified setup that allowed accurate mouse broadcasting since my monitors were different resolutions.

I re-ran the quick set up for a different team and only one monitor and didn't have the problem. I ended up just going back to one video card and one monitor.

Well, I created a new swapping window layout tonight with the wizard, with main on left monitor and alts on right monitor. So far, I have not had the cursor-centering annoyance like I did with the noswap layout. No idea what the difference is.

I have the same problem, but I am unable to resolve it. I tried asking in IS boxer chat, but no one could help(no answers) so I try here, hope someone can help:

I got a 5-man group and when everyone is following me around, suddenly one or two of the characters just runs straight ahead with out following anymore. Strange thing is, that characters slot still says "following brutala" bt is is not?? I have to press my follow hot-key to make that character follow me again.

I think it happens on random slots once in a while, so it does not seem tied to just one slot or one character, leading me to believe its something related to is boxer. or perhaps jamba im not quite sure?

I just found out that after run in the wrong direction for about 7-12 seconds or so, they actually begin following my main again.. its very strange what is causing this?¨I got 49ms in each slot both for home and world latency.


Something I notices that on two of my slots(slot 2 and 3), when I click in game the mouse cursor centers on the screen. However there is no recentering if I click on and item in the bagpack or a menu button or spell icon.... Maybe its related to the follow problem somehow?

I also noticed when activating broadcast (ALT-Shift-R) that when I click somewhere in the gamewindow and release the click, then the mouse cursor in each windows seems to be recentered. However, when I move the mouse the mouse cursor in each window is starting to move from the first position that I originally clicked on. Meaning: when I broadcast there is actually no recentering?? its only when I specifically go to slot 2 or 3 and click that the cursor recenters permanently...

Im quite baffled as to what the deuce is going on here. hope someone can help me!



so... I just tried making a new windows layout again using the wizard, and apparantly the recentering of the mouse cursor is not happening anymore... Though another problem has occurred: now the mouse cursor only displays on slot 1 and 2. on 3, 4 and 5 I cant see the cursor (though it is there, because I cant move around just like the other slots).

dammit just had slot two running in a straight line and actually not following my main Brutala, even though in slot two it said "following brutala". So it still happens even though mouse recentering have been fixed...

What is causing toons to not follow when they are clearly "following brutala" ??

hmm after further testing I have found that the follow problem is ONLY happening for my toon in slot 2... I find nothing wrong with its settings which are the same as the other slaves in slot 3, 4 and 5.

EDIT: oh boy oh boy... I feel so ashamed Im gonna creep under my bed for a week. The reason was toons getting drunk because collecting those "kegs of thundermaw Ale" made toons drink a little of it; screwing their movement up, including follow... sry for wasting ur time, though perhaps anyone else may learn something from my error.

lol...that got me once, too. Funny as hell when you realize what's going on.
