REQ: How to do ZF as a warlock (boosting)

As the topic reads.
My team dinged 35 and I decided to try ZF out, but I can't see how it's efficient if your a warlock (or any non-aoe class).

Could someone that have done this give tips?

My Warlock has 1150 shadow damage with his Darkmoon trinket cranked up. The best spec that I've found for farming Cath and ZF is a modified SL/SL spec--Make a macro that reads like this:

/castsequence Siphon Life, Curse of Agony

/petattack [target=Greater Healing Ward V]

/petattack [target=Magma Totem]

I'm not 100% positive if that's the exact wording but you get the idea. I use my Succy. Basically, you double dot everything with Siphon Life and Curse of Agony and every time you hit the button your pet will nuke any totems that are out. Those healing wards are the one thing that'll force you to triple dot, so that's why you have that in there.

For me, with that much shadow damage I was making 45 minutes a level from 35 to 45. The area with the zombie graves is crazy xp

The macros are no problems, even tough yours didn't work :P

But I'l guess I'l go back to sm cath, mobs gives 10 less exp per kill, but you kill 3times more in the same time as zf :P

Not if you have enough shadow damage. You can two dot mobs in Cath that you can't SoC, and you can two dot all the mobs in ZF. After level 37 or 38 ZF is much faster--I've boosted maybe 7 or 8 sets of toons into the 50's.

Send him flying around picking up whoever he can find, then SOC spam.
Ive got macros for my nub toons to /target the totems and take them out.
The most recent batch of new toons were healers, so it was a breeze.

Does this work good?

I god 1100+dmg and the mobs don't die on CoA+SL, some do, but most of them don't.

I'm going to try the VW Soc spam tactic, update coming soon.

Edit: Wow, WW tanked alot better then expected, i was prepared for him to die all the time. Can't tell how the exp is atm tho, but it seems good right now!

Yea the VW is a pimp in the lower level instances.
After hes rounded them all up, hit the AOE taunt deal he does. then start the SOC spamming.
If a mob peels and runs towards you, send the VW after the mob running towards you- that way your mobs stay clumped.
I generally have him run around picking all the melee mobs up, then park him on the group of casters- as they dont chase very well.
I sit at 1160 spell damage and 26% crit, Felguard spec'd because I'm too lazy and cheap to spec into something more grind friendly.

I loved doing it this way in SM, and DM. I could do the Cathedral in 3 pulls with a bit of practice.

My 70 lock only has around 800 +damage and I can do just fine in SM Cath and ZF using VW, use LOS to pull them back to the previous hallway or around walls then have the VW reattack once the casters hav come around the corner and start SoC. They easily go down with 4 SoC on 4 different targets, just keep switching VW to your current target that you are casting SoC on that way the seeds all go off after you have planted them.

Edit: Also, if you have a priest in the group you can bubble VW (before first attack) for more longevity to pick up more mobs at once.
