Default [EQ2] Starting to 3box - Class suggestions and general questions

    Hi all.

After I lost the interest in WoW where I was multiboxing for some time now, I saw that EQ2 went into F2P, so I dusted off my old EQ accounts. I currently have a midlevel Fury and Coercer, both on the same account, though I haven't been in a lot of places yet. I love to take my time and to enjoy leveling up.

So now that I am back in the game, I would love to start boxing again. I am thinking on combinations and possibilities. Since I am running a single machine, I doubt I can get more than 3 instances to run at once. I will try for four, but I seriously doubt it. That brings me to my class setup. I mentioned my Fury and Coercer, so it would be great to have one of those included. What I was thinking so far is as follows, please criticise and improve, I have been away a long long time from EQ2. Also, if possible, I like to stay on the evil side of things. So unless it was changed, Paladins, Troubadours, Monks are out of the scope, iirc.

Guardian, Coercer, Inquisitor (add Brigand/Swashbuckler if my machine can handle four instances):
The holy triangle from EQ1 more or less. Will this work? Can I run dungeons with this while leveling up? Is the dps enough? Should I swap the Guardian for a more offensive oriented tank maybe? Do these classes require a lot of micromanaging, or are they "easy" to box?

As I said, I am not looking at endgame or high level content for now. But I would love to explore the existing dungeons "on the way". Am I safe with that setup? Any major problems I am overlooking?

Regarding my machine setup, how do you run multiple instances of EQ2? Do you use the same directory to start all, or do you have multiple installations to run from?

    Thanks a lot,

I haven't played in a few years, and 6 boxed when I did, but I'd definitely be concerned with the dps of that trio. You might consider swapping the Guardian for a Shadowknight or Berzerker for added dps, and if you can get a fourth in there, you might find a caster to be easier to multibox than a melee dps. Also, alignments changed I believe, with Troubs and Monks being neutral now. Here's a link to who is good/evil/neutral: http://eq2.zam.com/wiki/Classes_(EQ2)

I boxed a trio of Swash + Inquisitor + Dirge till 90 very nicely but could not handle DoV content as swash is not a proper tank (even with mercs) so I am levelling now a trio of SK (tank) + Defiler + Dirge (who is already 90 so it helps), to this I will be adding Warlock as fourth. The advantage of the team is Noxious/disease/poison damage synergy (you achieve max debuff and then deal huge damage . Fot tough encounters I can bring out Inquisitor and DPS mercs.
