Default Ualaa’s Example B - Independent Slave Movement and the GS-13 (ISBoxer)

With quite a bit of help from the community I’m picking up on the little tricks to get better... that being said I have a long ways to go. Last night I was able to get my GS-13 to work for independent Slave movement with a simply shift modifier and I thought it worked out fairly well. I started with Ualaa’s guide on Independent Slave Movement and then modified it slightly. I currently use the Arrow keys for movement on all of my characters to free up the WASD for keybinds. In order to make the G-13 work for independent slave movement I simply added the shift modifier to the Direction Ualaa provided.

On my GS-13 the joystick is bonded to the up, down, left and right arrow keys. I’ve modified the Left and right arrow keybinds in WOW to be strafing instead of turning.

I created 4 Mapped Keys in the General Category for the 4 arrow keys; up, down, left and right and then made the hotkey’s for each Shift Up, Shift Down, Shift Left and Shift Right respectively. Then under “step 1” I followed his Ualaa’s directions to send the respective arrow key to all w/o current. It was that simple. If I want to move the slaves I just press a key on my GS-13 tied to shift and move the toggle.

After that I took it a step further and made an Action Target Group for Casters and tied the keybinds to "all in Casters". That allowed me to drop my casters from follow and keep my rogue following my pally, then I was able to move the casters separate from the melee team. I’ll be changing this soon due to the fact that two melee and three casters is an extreme pain in my ass and it takes more coordination that I have to run both; I simply haven’t taken my next group of 5 from 80 to 85 yet, all but one of those are casters.

I'm considering making a keybind that would send the opposite arrow keys to all W/O current and the normal arrow keys to current. Basically if I pull with my tank and turn the boss around (His back now to the casters or DPS), as my tank walks backwards the casters would walk forwards.... I guess you could also just use follow but this would be instant, taking them out of whatever crap they are standing in or preventing them from casting which could work well during the new heroic dungeons. All which could be done using ALT as a modifier with the toggle. Just a thought...
