An image can be used for the button background. New images may be added by right-clicking Images (global) and selecting New Image. Supported files types include: JPEG (.jpg) and Portable Network Graphics (.png).

no no i mean where are you guys getting you swtor icons from to match the skills you are making click bars for. hehe i know how to make a button have an icon just wondering where they are getting there png files from.
I used the windows Snipping tool to cut out the icons I wanted to use, then went into GIMP and cut out the border. I also gave mine a bluish border. Then I scaled them to the size that I wanted.
This process probably took me about an hour to do 4 icons but that was because I had never used GIMP. Doing one now would take me about 15 minutes.
Here is an example one I use for Healing on the bar.

I use the clipping tool in Evernote - we use Evernote at work to do planning and keep notes/etc. across several computers in remote locations, so I have it installed on every machine/iPad I own and it has a built-in clipper function as well.
Anything that lets you grab a part or all of the screen will work. You just have to touch up the picture in the software of your choice (GIMP is free, so it's a good choice)
