Thread: Round Robin?

  1. #1

    Default Round Robin?

I see there is an option to set up a round robin on a keymap, and in Mosg's manifesto, he mentions doing it with stuns/interrupts, but he never really explains how to do it.

If I have my stun spell set up on the "=" key ingame on both my characters, how would I go about setting up a keymap to use it in a round robin fashion?

I tried making a mapped key on my control keymap, sending the key to all windows, and clicking the 'round robin' check box, but the key never gets fired ingame, so there's something I'm missing obviously

Simple way would be tick the "round robin" box in keymap :P

The way I prefer to do it is to create a keymap with a number of steps equal to however many characters you have. Tick the "do not advance to next step for X seconds" box. For abilities like melee interrupts, AoE knockbacks, etc that have short cooldowns. In advanced, select "Pressed OR Released". Then just make a standard keymap for each step, with the target set to a different character for each step.

Then add this keymap as the first step in all of your standard DPS keys.

Thanks, I'll give that a try

Still no luck... I have one keymap set up in my "consular control" set. It has two steps. First step sends "=" to my sage. Then I have "wait 6 seconds before next step" selected. Second step sends the same key to my shadow. In-game "=" is bound to my stun key.

When I try it in game, the first step goes, but the second one never does, even with spamming the key. Eventually the cooldown is up on the first one and it goes again, but the second one never goes off.

Works fine for me. I'm using it with Taunt and Force Kick on my Guardians and they both fire off flawlessly (as long as my characters are in melee range, obviously).

Did you remember to set, "Pressed or Released" in advanced? If you're spamming a DPS key with multiple abilities, your round-robin keymap needs to be at the top of the list and it needs to activate on key down. It won't fire if another ability has activated the GCD.

I may be missing the pressed or released part. I will check that when I get home tonight

    Thanks!
