Thread: Managing Macros

    Default Managing Macros

Hey guys, after a pitstop in Rift then Swtor I'm coming back to boxing in WoW. I use 2 step macros. I setup my bars originally with Bartender 10 millions year ago. So, I'm not getting past the 255 Char limit on macros. I've been over on Curse and WoWinterface for the past hour or so looking at different addons.

If I remember correctly the last time I tried to use Macaroon it didn't show the GCD and the spell that is getting ready to be cast on the button which was a feature that I liked. And it seems really complicated.

Am I better off deleting out Bartender and going with a new setup with Macaroon? Trying to use a different macro addon on Bartender's buttons? Or trying to put my macros into ISBoxer as I think I've seen some on here do?

I'd also like to use some general macros between my main team (pally & 4X shammy) and my mixed team (dk, priest, mage, boomkin, lock.)

I'm willing to trade electrical or HVAC support for computer support (haha.)

I think the addon for longer macros is: SuperDuper Macros or something named very similar to that.

I'm using IS Boxer, so that allows the longer macros too.
In general, most of my stuff is done in warcraft, with IS Boxer sending keystrokes to Warcraft.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

I am keeping all my macros in ISBoxer. It took me a little time to get used to it but I love the flexibility between accounts now.

SuperDuperMacro was the easiest for me. Increased my dps by 1-2K just by getting the full macro's in there. I'll have to fine tune it all though. Not that I don't have enough computing power, but I wonder if I would see a performance increase by putting everything in ISBoxer. Next long weekend I'll try to bite off putting everything in there.

    Thanks

When possible I put everything I can in ISboxer. I have no macros in WoW itself just in ISboxer. Because of the increased character limit I was able to put in the lengthy 2 step macros on this site and saw a DPS increase of about 10-20% more in some cases. Also having the macros in ISboxer really game me a lot of flexibility and ease of creating teams of toons with the correct macro setup. No more cut and paste macros.
