Thread: Cursor troubles

  1. #1

    Default Cursor troubles

    I am trying to get the cursor to show up on both screens when my repeater is on.

    I have a mapped key that does the following:

    Sync cursor->all
    Repeater mouse on->all
    Popup text->all

    The mouse repeater gets turned on and the popup text shows up fine. But there is no cursor on the secondary character's screen.

    Am I missing a step?

    If its not working, then the obvious answer is "yes".

    Brainstorming....

    Saved? Exported?
    Press your window swap key to ensure your new key is now activated in game.
    Drag and drop the new "Controls" down into the Character set?
    Did you create the key in the Actions - Repeater Action- Sync cursor?
    Whats the hot key you assigned? Does that hotkey already have a keybind in game? turn it off in game?

    Change your "all" to Window All: w/current" so it says "all"

    Now you lost me. I made this a mapped key in my "control" keymap. It is bound to mouse button 3 which is not used in game (far as I know). Clicking the button ingame turns the repeater on and pops up the text I put in, it just doesn't sync the cursor.

    The part about dragging an dropping the new controls to the character set... that lost me. In my control keymap, I have the character set in there.

    There IS an option in ISB to show fake cursor in the other windows but I think it is enabled by default.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)

    wha? post a screen shot please.

    What I mean is, if you click on the top left panel, on the team name in your "Character Set", the bottom left window will display a model tree of your setup. now go back to the top and left click-hold the "Repeat Mouse" mapped key you made, and drag it down to the bottom left window (still your specific character set), and let go anywhere in there. The software will automatically put it where it belongs.

    Also, another thing I was thinking about... are you using multiple character sets for the same toon? are you using the White/Black lists?

    I think a few screen shots from you and we can get you going there.

    Another thing I thought of... when you did your window swap hot key, and keymaps swap, did you make sure to include your "Control" to be "ON" for both?
    like this...

    OK, hope these are the shots you wanted. First, my top left window:

    The "Consular Shadow Kerrec" keymaps are identical to Sage Kerec.

    When I click on "Consulars" character set, this shows up in the bottom left window:

    And here is my mouse repeater mapped key. The second step is just repeater mouse off->all and then a popup text.

    Everything looks ok, yet, I thought this was a mouse 3 button, not SHIFT+ALT+R. This might be where your issues is.

    First, do the drag and drop of "Consular Control" down into the lower panel of the "Character Set"...save, export, press your "Home" key and then try your mouse repeat. If that doesnt work...

    Try using some other single key (just for grins n giggles) like the Num0 on your keypad... (not the 0 above the "O" and "P"). Sometimes the game has problems with SHIFT and a letter. SHIFT and a number or a Fkey works fine. Just the letters... may be something to do with the capitol vs lowercase... not sure... anyway, Again, Save, export, press your "Home" key and then press the "Num0" key.

    also double check so that your "Activate Sage Kerec (Hotkey: Home)" and your "Activate Shadow Kerrec (Hotkey: End)" have the "Consular Control>ON"

    Yes, I have 3 keymap sets (Consular Sage Kerec, Consular Shadow Kerrec and Consular Control) and the control set is turned on in all of them.

    If none of that works, time to close everything down, restart the computer, and give it another fresh load. Im about to go home for the day. I will check-in in a few hrs, and if theres still no progress, I will check my file tonight and post later this evening ~ 11:30pm EST.

    BTW... your shit looks nice. Good job.

    It was. I have been trying different combos and someone here showed using Shift-Alt-R, so was trying that out - it was that way when the pic was taken.

    Tried that. No change in the problem.

    Tried combos with just a keypress, just a mouse button, and several combinations of shift/alt/ctrl - the mouse repeater part works (I can see objects highlighted in the other window when the cursor is over them) but no cursor is visible.

    also double check so that your "Activate Sage Kerec (Hotkey: Home)" and your "Activate Shadow Kerrec (Hotkey: End)" have the "Consular Control>ON"
    Done (see my previous post)

    The repeater works, and I can click things in the other window... I just can't see the cursor. If all else fails, I can live with it like this, it's just a little tricky navigating an invisible cursor
