Default Looking at dual-boxing 2 ranged DPS - difficult to decide which

I have about a month left on RAF and want to squeeze in one more duo.

    Here are some considerations:

    1. I want to be fairly effective in PvP
    2. I want to be able to bring both chars to Cata 5-mans and pull my weight
    3. I don't want hunters, and Mages are low on my list

That leaves locks, Druids, Shaman, and.... I guess that's about it.

Druids sound good because they can be tanks, melee dps, ranged dps, and healers - so a pair of those on a server I can cover a lot of ground in theory as far as future needs.

How are Balance Druids in PvP as a pair? (I've not PvPed a whole lot so I'm not going to be good at anything at first)

Druids do sound most fun and all but what I'm trying to avoid is getting partway thru the leveling process and realizing I should have gone with something else. Shamans seem to be the classic goto combo - or is that just when there is 5?

I'm also willing to give up a little uberness in exchange for utility, and easier learning curve, and less fuss to play them.

Any insight would go a long way helping me make this decision.

Ele shamans are everyone's favorite. Super easy rotation lots of buffs.

I personally prefer running two different classes though. Lock/boom kin is fun. Ele/boomkin. Ele/lock (go demo for easy mode)

In my opinion 2 boxing is something that's only really effective in PvE. In PvP, you have all the disadvantages of a multiboxer but none of their advantages (2 toons don't really possess enough coordinated burst powerful enough to actually kill). If you do manage to find some way for it to work well in PvP then kudos to you. At that point i'd probably just go with 2 healers since burst damage is out of the question.

Sorry I don't have much to contribute on the matter at this point.

Hunters, Mages, and Shamans are probably the easiest to roll with. Mages can be macroed with 1 key, and Ele shamans are pretty easy to do as well.

Consider a pair of Priests as well.

As a Disc Priest, you can Smite spam.
And passively heal whoever is hurt the most just by DPSing.

You could also dual-spec them to Shadow.
Which would let you raid with them, as a non-healer or do 5-man instances.

    For PvP...
You'd likely want a mobile class so you can keep your distance.
You're not going to blow people up with two toons.
But a pair of Warlocks could apply several dots while staying mobile.
You could easily do the most damage in a battleground, but would not likely have the most kills.

Healers are where you're going to make the most of an impact in a BG.
    With two toons at least.

If you want to PvP effectively, as a boxer...
Look at going with four toons most likely.

    For PvE and the 5-man's.
Two toons (Tank + Healer) could work.
Or three DPS would be fine too.
