All my codes r belong to you: wow5box
While it takes up a lot of macro space, I backup every command with both Focus and Party1 to ensure I'm hitting my intended target.
Example:
#showtooltip Frostbolt()
/cast [target=focustarget,harm] frostbolt()
/cast [target=party1target] frostbolt()
This will cast Frostbolt on my Focus's target (Paladin's target) if that target is an enemy. Otherwise it'll use Party1's target. This frees up my mages/priest to Focus CC for short periods of time - then I refocus my Paladin after that battle is over. OR if my Paladin dies (Party1), I can re-focus to another member to contiune attacking.

I've been doing this forever.
All of my spells are prefixed with:
/target [target=focustarget,harm,nodead][target=party1target,harm,nodead]
You should've seen me on IRC trying to explain this to Xzin. :P
My "switch main" buttons are:
/promote <newMain>
/focus <newMain>
If I'm in a BG and I know I need to keep my focus, I don't use complex CC. If I'm in PvE I can feel free to reassign my focus after my "switch main" button and not lose my normal functionality since the main has been /promote'd.![]()
