Default Still a newb when it comes to moving

Hey all, I've been boxing for years but since Cata I've mostly been taking toons through dungeons one at a time with LFD because I just can't seem to move my toons the way other people can. Thanks to LFD and LFR, my average iLevel is getting close to 380, but I'm still farming normal Lost City for guild xp. I've got a keybind for follow and one for strafing in each direction, but how do I spread my toons out without switching to each of them manually? And are there any particular fights that are easiest for those of us who have decent DPS/Healing/Tanking but keep standing in stuff and getting killed by AOEs?

What key broadcasting software/hardware are you using? The answer will be different depending on that.

Did you run the Quick Setup Wizard? According to the ISBoxer Wiki it should automatically create formation keys, which is what people use to spread out.

In my case, I bound my "J" key as

    Atox: nothing
    Btox: strafe left
    Ctox: strafe right
    Vtox: move backwards

This is with keyclone, basically just made it so J would be passed and each char would do something different

Take a look at the "Others Jump", mapped key (in the General Keymap).
It has the Other Windows do something, instead of the main window.

You can copy that, but change the target.
I'd go with WASD and the Arrow Keys (Up, Down, Left, Right).
One set is not mapped at all, which means they act as normal for the current window.
The other set is mapped, similar to "Others Jump", meaning the other windows receive the keys but not the currently active one.
So no matter what window you're in, the other windows can be manually moved.

Also consider Left/Right arrow, sending Strafe Left and Strafe Right (if you primarily PvE).
If you primarily PvP, then turning the slaves might still be preferable.

You can make a spread out key.
Give each of the windows a different output, all on the same hotkey.
    One toon can get W + Q.
    Another can get W + E.
And then give two of them, S + Q.
    And S + E.

That's forward and left strafe, forward and right strafe, backwards and left strafe, and finally backwards and right strafe.
You might need to select the option to Hold Keystrokes while Hot Key is held.
So they move, in the direction configured for as long as the hotkey is pressed.

I have another for a horizontal line.
Two toons receive Q, and two receive E, on the first Step.
And on the second step, one of the two Q's receives Q but the other does not.
And ditto on step 2 for the E toon's, with one receiving and one not.

I press the key a little.
    And release.
Then press the key about the same duration.
    And release.

You can do a lot of combinations.
Each step is a different output on subsequent presses of the same key.

Thanks, don't know why I didn't think of that myself. I tried setting up a mapped key like that in ISBoxer, and it doesn't seem to have quite worked. Pressing the key will break follow on all toons, so they're getting some sort of movement signal, but they aren't actually going anywhere. I've tried comparing it to other mapped keys that involve holding down a key, and I don't see any difference in settings, but I could be missing something. Help?

Nevermind, figured it out. (Hold any Keystroke Actions while Hotkey is held, for anyone else with that problem). Thanks for your help, all.
