They won't automatically follow your new Lead, but you can set the character that you just switched to as your new Lead using the Set Target key.

Is there some way you could use, "send this keymap when I switch to this window" so that it automatically changes your lead to whichever client you have in your main region?

Altough that should be possible to "fix" by simply using a similar system where you pre-define keys before a match begins

I'm confused now. I thought you said your follow/assist system works regardless of which group slot your characters are in or who joins the 4th slot?
