Oh! I didnt. Bad thing about the internet, its difficult to read the mood of some of my posts... when I said I felt the need to post, it was out of recollection of that interaction I had with Mr. Mosg... Apologies if it was interpreted differently. Definitely not meant to twist words.

OK, another brain freeze on my part

I'm trying to set up the "Target me" key like you show in video 2. I have F3 bound to target party member 1, F4 to target party member 2. I set up the mapped keys in ISBoxer like you show... but how to I use them in game? There is no hotkey defined for them in ISBoxer?

Sorry to be so dense, but this is all new to me

*edit* OK, I see that other keys call this targeting function. Sorry for the confusion.

However, I still can't get my "target me" keymap to work. I have two characters: Kerrec and Kerec. When grouped, Kerrec is party member #1 and Kerec is #2. In game I have F3 bound to target party member #1, but when I hit F3, nothing happens. F4 is supposed to target party member #2, but again, hitting F4 results in nothing happening. Instead, F1 targets myself and F2 targets the other member of the group, whichever character I am on. Am I missing something obvious here? Or am I not understanding how targeting works?

I obviously can't help you with Mosg2's setup, but what is your F2 key bound to ingame (since it by default is bound to Target Party Member 1)? And is there any particular reason you have changed it?
Targeting in Star Wars: The Old Republic can be a bit funky if you invite other people to your party as well, since the Party Member Slots can get shifted around for some characters. However if it's just your two characters in the party they should both be using Target Party Member 1 to target each other (F2 by default).

I'm not sure if 3boxing would work with this setup. Wouldn't the order of your group change and mess up your follow/assist keymaps whenever you invited 4th player or joined a Warfront?

Hes right. You dont need to use seperate keys for each toon, if you are only using two accounts. To repeat what chazz is saying; When you are on Kerrec, he is party member 1, and when you press your key, Kerec is looking for "target party member 1"... so your F1 key should work fine. When you swap windows and are now on Kerec, he now becomes party member 1, so when you press your key, Kerrec is looking for "target party member 1"... so your F1 key should still work fine.

Just make sure your in game keybind for both accounts is set to use the same key ("F1" in your case)

You can definitely box with three... but yes, you are correct. There is a way around this though. When in Warzones toons (unless im mistaken) are organized by alphabetic order. If you named all your toons starting with "AA or AB and so on, you should never see this issue.

Thanks for the help - I guess was trying to make it to complicated

Moving on... I have my "target me" and "assist me" keys working now. I am trying to actually use an ability. Both characters are sages, so I put Telekinetic Throw on the Left quickslot 1 for each character and bound "Alt-1" to cast it in game.

In ISBoxer, I set up a keymap on Sage 1 like this:

Do Assist Me in Sage 1 Key Map->self
    Alt+1->all

I bound this all to Ctrl-Shift-T in ISBoxer. When I press Ctrl-Shift-T in-game, the secondary character assists me and selects my target (so that much is working), but neither one of them actually fire an Alt+1.

Yes the order will change. Solution: http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/4...-Target-System

Click on your key in ISBoxer and make sure that you have "Hold any Keystroke Actions while Hotkey is held" set to ON. This is necessary for any keys that use modifiers in them (Shift, Ctrl, Alt).

OK, I did that and now I can see in the other window, it switches target to the creature I'm fighting, but then I get a message "Target not enemy", so it's trying to cast, but it thinks it can't. Do I need a slight delay in there to make sure the target has switched before casting?

*edit* I clicked "Do not advance to the next step for at least 0.1 seconds" and that didn't help.

Just for fun, I tried rebinding that hotkey slot to "E" and changed my keymaps in ISBoxer to use E instead of Alt-1. Still no change.
