I opted for Druids over Rogues.
Because a Druid can be Melee-DPS, Ranged-DPS, Tank or Heals; so I have the option of PvE on the team... plus, down the road, if I feel like Boomkin or whatever, its more options.
Druid's have both Rez and Battle-Rez, which is enormous for when things have gone wrong.
Any melee class that doesn't have a main ability that hits multiples at once...
And Swipe is not really a main ability, not in the class of Howling Blast, as an entire Energy Bar won't do as much damage as a single Howling Blast.
Well... without the AoE attack, you'll essentially automatically lose to opposing boxers who have it.
You'll still blow up single targets quite well, and come out fine in almost any altercation that doesn't have boxer coordination on the other side.
For PvE, no team quested up faster than my Ferals.
And going through the quest content, none were as strong while questing.
The Ferals had no issues with Elite quest mobs who were higher level than them, only losing to the Fire guy in Hyjal (the boss originally in Molten Core, that pulsed).
Comparatively, the 4x DK's (Frost) with a Paladin healer were both slower (lower single target DPS) and did not survive in three fights that the Ferals had no issues with.
One of the appeals of the stealth team is that you can pick and choose the majority of your battles.
That has been quite nice.
Ferals (prior to somewhere in 4.1) had the ability to Power Shift (activate Kitty, while already in Kitty), which would break any root or snare effect.
We'll get this option back at 90th, as one of the final three talent choices.
Also Dash and the level 85 +MV Speed spell (which is raid-wide), break root effects.
Power Shifting still breaks snares.
I also really like having Aquatic Form and Flight Form on the druids.
What do Rogues bring to the table...
Poisons are probably the top thing that Druids are missing.
I believe Rogues have (I know they had) more cooldowns to manage than most other classes; with cooldowns available, they're quite strong.
Not sure how well you can manage them all boxing; I'd imagine with Video Feeds, Repeater Regions and the like, you'd have a lot of options in that direction.
Wound Poison would help to kill something.
Fan of Knives would be far superior AoE, albeit on a short use (Energy based).
Distract, would be superior stealth since you can force NPC's to look the wrong way; plus if anyone is using Follow/NumLock instead of actively controlling their toon... you can Distract them off of a cliff...
Asonimie(sp?) had a video from the Cata beta, playing five rogues I believe... and they looked pretty good.
Nothing says you cannot mix and match your team.
Go with say two Druids and three Rogues.
That gets you Heals + Tank, which opens Dungeon Finder and possibly Heroics.
That also gets you Battle Rez, in combat and normal Rez outside of combat.
You have the option of a healer with your DPS, similar to 4x Enhance or 4x DK's with a Healer.
