The honor ones elders quests give experience this year, plus there are two new boe pets you can get with the coins, one for alliance and one for horde.

I leveled nearly 3/4th the way from 83 to 84 just from getting 50 coins, and the pets should give you 10k each if you save until after the holiday. There are a total of 84 elders, I would stop at 50 and just buy the pet to sell, unless you're stocking up for next year.

I did them on my alliance team and my horde team. I plan on using the neutral AH to sell the 5x horde pets on the alliance AH and the 5x alliance pets on the horde AH to maximize profit.
