Rated Arena Section

Hi everyone, not meaning to bring up old topics but is there any chance that we can have a rated arena for level 85 re opened? It would be great to have a rated only section. The discussions there were great and it made this forum great as it filtered out some of the general stuff.

Just a thought as boxxing is starting to pick up again and getting bigger than ever, it would be nice to accommodate different people. :-)

The Rated Arena forum wasn't for open and public discussion.

Yes there is a good amount of 5v5 discussion happening but I don't think it warrants it's own (another) sub forum

where would you draw the line then?
as in why would a 2.4k rated player want to share his secrets with a 1750 rated player, but not with a 1650 rated one ...
if you set a mark you have to set it high imo, else it's pointless

I think it should be closed to people who have less than a certain threshold of posts.

Contribute to the community and gain access as a reward? Would stop neighbours from other boxing forums coming on here to steal secrets without first becoming a part of the community.

We've had the forum before without it having a real added value. So I can completely follow Svper's point of view that it's not very usefull to try and open a new one.

There's a thought to keep in mind aswell imo, which is that if you find a nice trick to help you in arena and you post it here this will happen:
1. It will work vs people in the sub 1,8k bracket and those people will most likely not bother with creating an account to go and check boxing strategies. Besides that, if you used it against them a few times they allready know the tactic.
2. It will not help you a lot in higher rated arena or it will do no harm to post it here. Since the people you meet higher up should analyze your moves and can figure out the tips aswell.

I voted for a PVP section aswell, but looking back at it, it's just not that usefull.

Plain and simple there aren't enough players who multi-box in PVP or even above the 1800 threshhold to warrant it. This section gets neglected enough as it is. Maybe 10 new posts a week.
