Default Damn video card died 2 weeks into RAF :(

Just after all the xmas cash is spent
Its a Zoltac gtx470 with the lifetime warranty, but I'll be losing a significant amount of RAF time waiting for the replacement. Started having significant artifacts while during play and just normal operations. Replaced power supply to check, and installed all new drivers, no difference.
    Thought I'd whine a bit.
Anyone know if Bliz will "pause" Raf time?

    No.

While they won't pause, you could get by with an older video card.

I was running with a GTX 275, for a couple of years.
And started to get the artifacts on the screen too.
I upgraded to a GTX 570, but honestly by 275 was easily sufficient for Cataclysm.

Is the card artifacting lik crazy and makes playing impossible? If not, try opening your case , clean out all the dust and use an external fan to increase airflow. If that doesn't help, check the video card. Are there any capacitors that look warped or exploded? If so they are usually easy to replace, plenty of instructions online.

I've had similar problems in the past and burned through 2 video cards myself. The first card dtopped working because the capacitors literally exploded during game flow. I sounded like a gunshot. I replaced the caps and was good to go. The second card had a severe artifacting problem that got worse overtime. By underclocking the card, I made the issue go away.
