    Default questions about Jamba

I'm new to multiboxing and just started using Jamba for the first time. I'm starting out with 2 chars for now on a mac and PC. The Mac has my master, PC is the slave. I installed Jamba and was playing around with it. I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help me with?

    1. The slave would not always follow the master. The slave would follow after combat, but if I'm in an inn, or just formed the group and start running, the slave wouldn't follow.

    2. Is there a way I can map the button for the mount on the item bar in Jamba and upon clicking it, the slave also calls their mount? I thought I did it, and it shows both mount buttons on the master and slaves item bar, but the slave doesn't call up their mount when the master does. I would like to do the same thing for the hearthstone.

    3. Macros - I know what they are and what they do, but what can Jamba do with them? Is Jamba's macro setup just a macro system for the master or can it send commands to the slave as well?

    4. How can I do the following.....

    a. The master needs to stay at melee range in combat, the slave is a melee and needs to go up to the target to attack. If I stop following at range with the master, the melee stays too far behind. How can I make the master run to the target and start attacking (preferably by casting one of their attack abilities). Or is that not possible with "only" using Jamba?

    b. WIth quests where you have to pick up something (like the pyrite ore in Deepholm for the daily), is there a way I can target the pyrite with the master and have the slave run over and pick it up or do I have to manually click the pyrite with the slave to pick it up? The same thing with a quest like the fire from above in Uldum - do I have to manually have the slave jump in the vehicle or can they follow the master when the master jumps in the vehicle?

    5. How can I set up Jamba so that when I'm soloing, I don't get the low health messages or other warnings from Jamba?

If you're wondering why I don't run WOW on the mac, the problem is the mac overheats and the lag is unplayable (even with all the settings turned to minimum). I tried Synergy to use as a keyclone program between the mac and PC, but I couldn't get Synergy to work.

I do not want to load bootcamp on the mac since it's also my main work computer and I really don't want to "tarnish" it with windows.

So for now, I'm stuck using only Jamba for assistance in multiboxing. From what I've seen so far, it looks great and definitely makes multiboxing much easier than I thought. I'm just trying to get those few issues I mentioned above resolved.

Thank you for reading and for any help you can offer!

Most of this is answered in the Jamba - Getting Started Sticky.

    1. You need to actually issue a follow command. Only follow after combat is automatically triggered. Folow strobing and regular follow are both triggered by macros.

    2. Drag the required mount onto the button. The Item Bar is not a click-passing bar, it is called via Key bindings, set in the WoW Key Bindings Menu. to set it up as clickable will require configuring in your key broadcasting program.

    3. Jamba's macros use variables. I haven't used it, so I can't go in depth, but there's a link to how it works in the Getting Started thread. Macros do not work by the master sending macro commands to the slave. Macros for multiboxing work by the master having a macro and the slave{s} having a macro and the key broadcasting program sending the associated key presses to the both/all instances of the game that you are running.

    4. I'd suggest looking at the Newb's Guide to Multiboxing Sticky. Jamba is not a key broadcasting program, it is an addon that is designed for multiboxers. For melee, you need to look at Interact with Target and Click to Move.

4b. If the object can be targeted, you would need to use assist+Interact with Target/Click to Move. If the object cannot be targeted, you will need to manually use the object to gather it, try using Interact with Mouseover or try using mouse passing.

    5. Set up a profile and swap between them when you solo.
